I came into this establishment and got treated very nasty. I did feel discriminated against upon entering establishment I ask for Mr. Boone and got a very nasty sarcasm reply with the men in the establishment all laughing.upon showing merchandise in which I was there to do service on he immediately before I could even begin to show or tell him how many carats the piece was his reply to me was OH NO THATS NOT FOR ME!I don't do new only antique.

I am viewing all his goods as he treat me with such harsh and notice he has all styles and not just antique I know I was discriminated against and I don't appreciate it. Yes I am black a highly educated black woman with own business just as this establishment. STOP JUDGING AND BEGIN SERVICING WITH A HEART YOU CAN PAY FOR ITEMS BUT THE LOVE FOR OTHERS MUST COME FROM THE HEART, Be Bless

My husband and I worked with Ruben Cruz to find an anniversary ring for me, repair an opal and diamond heirloom ring I inherited from my great grandmother, and to with a watch purchase for my husband. I provided images of the ring settings and stones I was interested in having for the anniversary ring. Ruben delivered even though I was initially hesitant.

He was great and understood my concerns. Very reassuring! The anniversary ring came out just as I wanted it and the opal ring repair and restoration was beyond what I expected. Oh, great price on the watch for my husband too! Actually, all pieces were very fairly priced for what we got and what the appraisals were. I would highly recommend him and Boone and Sons to others. We will be returning!

My husband got my engagement ring from Boone & Sons and we got our wedding bands here too. Not only do they have high quality jewelry they are so lovely to work with. We are so so happy with our rings thanks to Boone and Sons.

As a native Washingtonian, I have had experience with many different jewelers and jewelry stores in the area over the years. Boone and Sons is by far the best. I trust them completely for purchases and repairs. The staff is professional yet warm, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to take time to assist you. The new and the estate jewelry they carry is beautiful and fairly priced.

I really can't say enough about my experience at Boone & Sons in Chevy Chase. I worked with Nellie for both a custom engagement ring as well as our wedding bands. Incredible attention to detail, so nice & normal, and they make the process so easy. I couldn't have been happier with how the engagement ring came out. 10/10 across the board. My husband and I have gone to Boone and Sons for over 40 years. I bought his wedding band at the DC store at the start, and have continued using the McLean store since then. My son continues the tradition after buying his wife's wedding ring there. All of the staff along the way have been patient, knowledgeable and applied no pressure. The jewelry repair work has been excellent and fairly priced as well. Ruben just finished soldering work on my wedding rings as well as a tricky fix on a favorite pair of earrings. They deserve every one of the 5 stars and then some.

ZERO stars. RUDE staff. I don't normally post negative reviews but here it goes. I was interested in having a ring sized, and I had an appointment at the Chain Bridge Road location. I was running late, so I called to see if I should reschedule. To make a long story short the man told me it would take a week to have my ring sized. I asked why so long?

He replied, in a VERY NASTY, sarcastic tone, "Becuase we're in the middle of a pandemic mamm, and our jeweler is only in once a week." Well, yes, I am aware of the pandemic, and I have decided not to use Boone & Sons services; not now, and not when businesses reopen.

Wonderful experience! Boone & Sons Jewelers in Chevy Chase was highly recommended by a close friend when looking for a diamond ring. We never even went in the store because we live in another state, but we purchased the most beautiful diamond in a gorgeous custom setting - all done through the mail! Great communication, honest and trustworthy people. Would absolutely do business with them again. Could not be any happier with my ring!

Back in 2003, I went to my best friend and asked them where I should go to get a quality ring for my fiance. He told me that he too had the same question prior to his wedding, and it was told to him to go and visit Boone & Sons. He did, and suggested that I do the same to ensure I would get what I had desired for my soon to be wife! I visited Darrel and Shawn in Chevy Chase and I'm glad I did!

I've been a customer of theirs for over 16 years and I've bought several pieces of jewelry for my wife and I. Darrel and Shawn truly became extended members of our family! Their customer service is absolutely the best in the business, as they always treated every customer with respect and with love, no matter how much you spent. I simply wanted to get the best ring I could for my wife, and they indeed helped me to do that.

That's why I will not go anywhere else in this area but Boone & Sons to get any jewelry. I've since purchased both of my wife's custom wedding rings and she was completely happy with them and routinely gets compliments to this day for the work they did!

I knew nothing about engagement rings prior to my visit here. In three days, I left with an awesome ring and a lot of knowledge when it comes too diamonds. The three days was to pick out everything with more options. The purchase could have been made quicker. The customer service is top notch. The day after the proposal, my fiance scratched the platinum band rock climbing and the staff here made the repair to the band. Overall, I would recommend this store to anyone.

Starting with French Boone, then his son David Boone, and now his son Erik Boone, we have made more than 20 high-end purchases over nearly 37 years, and been pleased every single time.

Our three sons as well, on our strong urging, although one son insisted on comparison shopping and we went to numerous other jewelry stores in a colossal waste of time. Nearly 37 years ago, I did the same and the positive difference between Boone and Sons and ALL the others then, as now, was clear and substantial. She was extremely helpful and never made my husband feel pressured throughout the process of picking/designing a ring. My go-to jeweler. I absolutely wouldn't trust anyone else. Their workmanship is unparalleled, the quality of the stones is always stunning. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Boone & Sons. My then fiance showed up in construction work clothes right after work and they treated him no differently than a man in a business suit. It was his first time shopping for an engagement ring and Maureen made him feel so welcome. He pulled out a picture of the design I liked and Maureen was so excited.

A kite setting! It's not very common so she was excited to create it with him. Once they were done she gave him the quote and figured he would be on his way and sleep on it. Instead he told her to order it! This just goes to show when you don't judge someone by their appearance and make them feel special they will want to give you their business.

My father has been shopping at this jewelers for years. Recently I cleaned up my jewelry box and found a piece I received five years ago that I'd never worn. I took it to them to see if I could trade it in for something else. They said OK but would only give me 55% of the original value. Bad customer service in my opinion. I won't be back and will ask my dad not to return.

My husband and I had a great experience working with Erik in the McLean store a few months ago. We needed a quick turnaround on our rings, and Erik was very patient with us to make sure we were getting what we wanted in a timely manner. We love our rings and have gotten lots of compliments on them. There is also something very special about having such important pieces of jewelry come from a local family-owned business. The quality and customer service cannot be beat. We will definitely go back to Boone & Sons for future jewelry.

Stopped into Boone & Sons on my way home from visiting Tiffany's & Lilenquist in Tysons. Had a great experience and Boone actually had a greater selection than either of the larger boutiques. Prices were extremely competitive and beautiful pieces. Maureen was extremely helpful and low pressure. I look forward to stopping in again soon.

This place is incredible. Serving several White House administrations, it's no wonder these people have a following for fine jewelry and an excellent reputation. So how did I get to Boone & Sons? To purchase an engagement ring, and man did it not disappoint. Let me just say this - the fiance consistently gets compliments at work, and I got the ring. 6 months ago.

Yes I'm broke, but fellas if you want to do it big, come here. Lastly, the service. Ask for Maureen. Homegirl is on top of her game. I look for three things when it comes to customer service - transparency, follow-through, and a smile. Maureen has been a joy, and my fiance and I can say that Maureen has made this process of ring shopping well worth it. My wallet might not be happy, but my soon-to-be bride is, and that's all that matters. Just ask for Maureen, and you'll be set. for life.

Deceptive practices. They sent out a 50% off certificate to the residents of McLean. We wanted to buy a diamond. At first the "gemologist" said they wouldn't honor the certificate because the diamonds "weren't marked up enough" and quoted us the retail price of $11,000. Then he asked the manager if the 50% off certificate should be honored after all, and without even hesitating the manager said OK.

Then the switch-a-roo: suddenly days later the retail price was magically doubled to $22,000, so the 50% percent off price now became the original retail price of $11,000, making the whole 50% certificate a ruse. Keep in mind this is for 1.0 carat. $22,000! Very tacky, slimy, and low-class. Would never do business with them.

Just a great and down to earth experience here. Patient staff who really show an interest in you no matter the budget. Would recommend to anyone.

Went to Boone & Sons to either resize or upgrade my engagment/wedding rings after 8 years of marriage. I decided to use Boone & Sons because my original engagement ring was from the shop. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Boone who was friendly, listened to my preferences and helped me find exactly what I wanted. I left the store with my new wedding band on my finger (simple platinum band), perfectly sized.

The new engagement setting will take a little time to complete but I am to get an update on its status on this coming Tuesday. I had nothing but a wonderful experience with Mr. Boone.
