Christine York Jewelry Appraisal

I used Christine for estate appraisals. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She is honest and Frank with her opinions, which probably will upset the occasional person who doesn't like the answer they receive.

Christine York is unprofessional and very rude, even though you are her customer and she makes $$ from you. Her estimate was actually wrong as well, and she ended up selling our jewelry for less than we contracted for. She also allows prospective buyers to take the ring and 'try it out' -- we felt our ring was in the hands of a total stranger and it was out of our control. We would NOT recommend her. She hung up on us and did not respond to emails. A very bad experience.

I took my engagement ring set to her for consignment. Even though her pricing seemed fair enough, she was very grumpy. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I wasn't really that impressed with her people skills. I will write an updated review when my pieces sell.
