I've been designing custom jewelry since 1971, operating out of a studio overlooking the Mississippi River in Genoa WI for 29 years, prior to our move to Prescott, AZ. After nearly three decades of making jewelry professionally, this truly is my pice de rsistance—a year and a half in the making. This was an ideal scenario; to be commissioned to make a piece that I had complete free rein on—pushing the limit on design, and the reality of making it work!

I've been designing custom jewelry since 1971. From 1988 to 2002, I exhibited my work at art fair venues throughout the Midwest. During that period, I produced and sold hundreds of jewelry pieces. This experience was rewarding and I was recognized with numerous awards. The art fair and exposition circuit also allowed me to establish relationships with many clients that I still do work for today.
I work with clients to create heirloom-quality jewelry. I have developed a design style over the years and most customers opt for giving me free rein in designing their jewelry pieces. This is a description of the standard procedures involved in commissioning a piece of custom jewelry. Determine gemstones to be used, if desired (size, shape, type of mineral, quality & price range). A minimum 50% downpayment is required upon design approval with the balance due after receipt and approval of the finished piece.
I do diamond and colored stone grading, as well as gem identification in my studio. Many customers appreciate the convenience of having it done while they wait. As part of the process of earning my gemologist certification from the Gemological Institute of America, my coursework included the ability to grade and identify minerals.
