I live out of state & dealt with Jonathan by phone & email. He was very professional, quick to respond to emails and always available to speak to whenever I called for him. Everything was handled in a timely manner. This is especially important when dealing with pieces of jewelry that have sentimental value. The folks at Delmonte-Smelson have become dear friends through these challenging pandemic times. Looking back to October 2019 when I went in to buy my now wife an engagement ring, I was met with personalized, concierge-like care and attention. I had a great interaction with one of the employees Stephanie who helped me narrow down what style I was looking for, and then a one-on-one meeting with the owner Phil for a full education on diamond clarity, color, and pricepoint to find the absolute perfect stone for my soon to be-betrothed.

She said yes, and we were off to planning a wedding! Despite all the craziness we've faced as a community, unknown hardships set unto small businesses as well, the Delmonte-Smelson team managed to come through in the midst of it all. Phil again helped find the perfect band for my wife, and (without my knowledge) the exact ring I wanted, too! They even custom ordered and rush delivered it to help us out.

My wife and I cannot highly recommend these folks enough. The integrity with which they operate is outstanding. It can be intimidating going in to a jeweler knowing nothing of the industry, but I was met with warmth that put me at ease. I don't see myself going anywhere else for future anniversaries or family gifts.

Phil and his team are amazing. I purchased a ring back in January and it was quick, easy and beautiful. I showed them a picture of what I was envisioning and they turned it into a reality. They're so talented, especially Phil. My fiancee tells me regularly how much she loves her ring. Fellas, this is the place to go for a beautiful, unique, custom piece.

Customer service is king at Delmonte-Smelson Jewelers. Made an appointment before coming in and told them what we were looking for. When we arrived they brought out a ton of options, all of them at incredibly reasonable prices. Brought out a more expensive chain but didn't try to push us into buying it. Let us make the best decision and leave with a great item for a great price. Phil is extremely friendly and will treat you like you are part of his family. Would definitely recommend them to all of my friends.

THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! I have been dreaming about my engagement ring since I was a little girl and this jeweler far surpassed my wildest dreams of what my engagement ring would look like. Found this hidden gem by chance. Located in the EAB plaza on Hempstead Turnpike. The owner Phil is truly professional, honest and patient. He designed an absolutely stunning engagement ring and wedding band for me! Would high recommend for anyone shopping for diamonds or any other beautiful Jewlery.

I had my engagement ring created here. A few years later had very sentimental wedding bands created from jewelry from my deceased mother. I wouldnt trust any other jeweler with valuables with such sentiment! I'd give 100 stars if I could! Love love love Delmonte-Smelson!

Well, my experience with the store has not been a good one. I am quite upset with there estimates and appraisals of diamonds. I purchased a GIA certified diamond from this store around 1997 for almost $4,000.00. To my surprise Mr. Smelson advised me today, he would not repurchase the diamond and he gave it an estimated value of several hundred dollars.

I was not expecting to make money on my original purchase. I only hoped he would give me a fair price for an item he originally sold to me. In my opinion, the diamond should have maintained some value. I find it hard to believe he would not stand by his work and original judgment.

I've came here several times to remove links off of some new watches & also buy new watches at this jeweler, & every time I've came to do so they've treated me with the best customer service. There prices are extremely easy on your wallet & they're location is also very convenient. The diamond rings & necklaces they have on display are also beautiful with custom designs & great prices.
