Services
The appraisals are done in the store by our experienced staff, including a Graduate Gemologist of the GIA. All we ask is that customers make an appointment with us and bring any existing paperwork that they might have on the item. We offer a onetime, complimentary single item appraisal per household, for customers who have not had our appraisal services before.
Diamonds Direct is a family-owned and operated Jeweler since 1981. We work with each customer to help define your inspiration. We then take that inspiration and deliver exactly what you want. We are not done working until you are happy. We maintain a sizable inventory, but also pride ourselves on our personal shopping services.
No refunds can be offered on custom design work. However, we are happy to work with you on changing the design and only charge for additional labor, stones or metal utilized. At Diamonds Direct, we work with you from our very first meeting together to build and create ideas that will be right for you and your loved one.

Top notch ring designs, jewelry, and services! We absolutely recommend this store for our family and friends. I found an engagement ring that I absolutely loved that was created by the owner. They had to size the ring down 3 sizes for it to fit perfectly. A month later one of the stones at the end of the melee loosened and fell out. We were not able to make it back to the store right away.
We walked in without calling today because we were in the area. They matched the stone, replaced it, tightened everything, and cleaned the ring on the spot for no charge. They are so nice, knowledgeable, and stand by their products!

I purchased my wife's engagement ring and wedding band from Diamonds Direct this past year. Maria and her brother, John, made our experience amazing. Maria is very helpful and provided me immense peace of mind during the final buying decision. My decision came down to Diamonds Direct and another company. Maria was patient and took the time to answer the plethora of questions I had; she was not pushy in the slightest and truly wanted me to be happy with my decision.
I cannot say the same about the other company. John is GIA-certified and is extremely knowledgeable about diamonds. He provided very detailed information about the specific diamond I purchased. Also, he was able to construct the engagement ring and wedding band to our desired specifications, some of which were not traditional. More specifically, he created the wedding band based off a picture we loved and found online (and completed construction of the band in under a week for our wedding day).
They are a family-run business and do not advertise, which means they can offer great rates. Long-story-short, these guys were amazing and really made the experience a positive one for us. We absolutely recommend them to anybody in the ring-shopping process!

They do not stand by their craftsmanship. I had to bring my wedding band in 5 times in 3 years for either a missing diamond or because it was misshapen. This last time I was told it happened because I must be "too active". If you call caring for a 3.5 month old "active". The blame for these issues were continually put on me - no ownership for the quality of the ring. Apparently they weren't anticipating me wearing my wedding ring everyday. needless to say, I will absolutely not be back. Extremely disappointed.

I have had the opportunity to do business with Diamonds Direct for many, many years. They are always helpful, honest and trustworthy. It's a small family run business, but that's what makes it great. They are attentive and accommodating. I have custom designed a couple of different pieces of jewelry with their help and I love the results! We all want a jeweler we can trust - this is the place to go!

John and Dana were extremely helpful and knew exactly what i was looking for and helped me go through several options before i decided on a beautiful Custom engraved ring done by John's son IIRC. I'm second generation in buying from Diamond's Direct. John is great to work with. He really has the customer's best interest in mind and really helps you find what works for you. Not trying to sell you on anything, just an honest guy helping you find what you want. I picked out a custom ring that is absolutely gorgeous. I have no doubt in my mind that Diamond's Direct is the best jewelry store around and they're focused on the experience. Once you walk into the store, you feel like family and it's a great feeling. We have know John and his staff for many many years. His beautiful store, reliable great service, and knowledgeable staff has served us. I just returned to have work done on my wedding ring as it seems I was wearing it out. They restored my ring and it almost seems more beautiful than when I got it 40 years ago. Diamonds Direct provides the best service and quality in the Twin Cities, hands down. I gave them a budget and they crafted a gorgeous new wedding ring for me at a higher quality than originally anticipated, but not for one cent more. And because I am a repeat customer, they re-surfaced my existing engagement ring for free. Now my wedding set looks like brand new. I couldn't be happier! Recommend!
