Gayles Jewelers began in 1951 with its founders, Andy and Hazel Overton. With their love for each other, hard work, and faith in God, the store began. Three generations later, the dream continues. In 2000 when the reigns were passed from the Overton's daughter Carolyn McGehee, to her daughters, Cristi Tanner and Bridget Russell, they realized it was time to put away pen and paper and begin the second fifty years taking full advantage of the computer age.

Some of the workers at this establishment need to improve they're communication skills. We're very disappointed in our recent experience. Not only has the miscommunication and poor work upset us, but one of the women that work here told my husband today to "bring his business else where next time." Truly sad when you try to keep businesses in Bogalusa with customers but are treated this way. My husband's family has been going to Gayle's since the 50's, but now they have permanently lost our business.

Top notch! We took my 6 month old to get her ears pierced last year and Tab was upfront with us, recommending we wait until she was older due to her teeny tiny earlobes. Fastforward to a year later, we came back and Tab was FANTASTIC! She took her time to guage my baby's personality, made sure placement was perfect, and that she was completely calm and comfortable before piercing. We came from out of state to get her ears pierced at Gayle's and they did NOT disappoint! Thank you for an incredible experience! Thank you so much, Tab!
