Had an amazing experience today at Gems of La Costa! Rhonda gave me and my boyfriend excellent customer service. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the stones and various bands. Ronda (hope I'm spelling it correctly!) and the entire team at Gems of La Costa were fantastic when I had an issue with a ring I purchased recently, walking me through the cleaning process and overall making me feel comfortable when I thought something was wrong with the item. I went into Gems of La Costa to have the clasp on my bracelet repaired and to have my wedding rings cleaned. Rhonda was super helpful- she had the rings done in minutes and was professional and friendly the whole time. Peter fixed my bracelet in minutes (I thought it would take days) and they didnt charge me for any of their services. Great experience from the neighborhood jeweler.

I brought in an old bracelet to have the clasp fixed and it was very reasonably priced to replace the clasp. Rhonda helped me and she was a blast! She was very professional and knowledgeable in going over all of the options for clasps. When I picked up the bracelet it looked SPECTACULAR! I can't say enough about Rhonda and gems of La Costa!

Rhonda and Peter are terrific. I brought a small but sentimental piece to Gems of La Costa and they were extraordinarily patient with my selectiveness. This was a very small project and yet Rhonda and Peter both treated my personal concerns about my very old religious medal as though it was just as important as any other major purchase in the store.

I walked into Gems of La Costa today because I wanted to get my rings and earrings cleaned for my big wedding day on Saturday. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Rhonda with a smile. She kindly offered to clean all my jewelry on the spot. Not only did she assist me with the cleaning, but she went through each piece and gave me information on everything.
The best part was she was able to show me my engagement ring under the microscope and made a note of the GIA laser serial number. She showed me how to look up my diamond's record on GIA website. Good information to know. I really appreciated the time she took to help me and educate me. I definitely will come back and shop here!

They do a great job on repairs and I've purchased several high quality pieces of jewelry. Came in to pick out a new band for my anniversary and was lucky enough to have Rhonda help me. She was amazing! So nice and patient while I tried on many different bands all of which are beautiful. they have the BEST selection. I also was out running errands so I had my three year old with me ( I try not to bring them to stores like this) but Rhonda was so sweet with him and gave him a toy ring and a ring pop. Recently went to Gems of La Costa for the first time at the recommendation of a friend. I was browsing for a new wedding band as I'd lost mine. All of the staff was very friendly but I wanted to give a special shoutout to an employee named Rhonda who was SO helpful and attentive during my visit. She was upbeat and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and made some great suggestions.
She never made me feel rushed or pressured to make a decision which I was grateful for as I have not always had the best experiences at jewelers and tend to buy online these days. I'm glad I gave this store a chance and would definitely come back again!

I HIGHLY recommend Gems of La Costa. The owner Chad is a great, trustworthy guy and is a true craftsman. He does beautiful, quality custom work and is affordable for the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that his team provides to his loyal clients. I had my custom engagement ring built from scratch there and it turned out amazing. We also bought and had our wedding bands engraved there as well, and we couldn't be happier!

I had Gems of La Costa design a setting for my Tourmaline. They created a perfect piece of jewelry that reflected my wish to showcase the stone. The cost was truly competitive. The diamonds they used were beautiful. They had a vast inventory of gems to augment the Tourmaline. The staff was extremely helpful without being pushy. Gems of La Costa is where I've brought all of my jewelry for repair and cleaning for years. The cost has always been reasonable and the service could not be any better. Everyone there is so kind and considerate. They are also extremely helpful when looking at jewelry to potentially purchase. They are very knowledgeable and have a stunning collection.

I purchased a stunning blue diamond from Gems of La Costa. Then they were able to help me bring my vision to reality in the creation of a jaw-dropping ring to showcase the stone. Ewa was amazing taking me through each design details and rendering the ring in CAD. And Peter's bench work was absolute perfection - along with his design input. Chad and Steve were nice enough to allow me to drag them into the process, as well.
I've hardly taken my new ring off since its dramatic unveiling. And I've already purchased another diamond from them and finalized details for another customer piece - a pendant this time. They have a life-long fan and customer!

Prompt service, we sold some gold and silver here and also bought a custom ring. It took several attempts for the ring to be crafted as specified and sized properly. 3 stars is for mostly for the fact that while most of the staff is masked and only a few customers are allowed in at once, there is one many who works at the store who clearly thinks he is above it all and improperly wears his mask below his nose. This type of behavior is offensive.

Turns out the "Gems" of La Costa are the master craftsmen that work at the shop. When presenting your item for repair, the jewelers take their time to discuss the best method for success. I took in a necklace given to my mother from my dad on thier wedding day in 1943. Janja suggested an up date of a magnetic clasp. It worked perfectly. Since all repairs on completed on site; you're precious items remain under their expert care. The display of their original custom pieces as well as other fine items are awesome. It is truly a Gem of a store, right here in Carlsbad.

During covid precautions, the staff are all wearing masks and it appears that only a few customers are allowed in at a time; and I felt safe here while adding more fine jewelry to my wish list.

An award trophy of mine had broken. I called around and went to a few trophy places. They were only engravers and couldn't help me. The part that broke was where two metal pieces connected so I know it had to be soldered. Guess who agreed to do the work! I was very happy with the work and the great customer service that I received. And the trophy is now proudly displayed again.

Hands down, my favorite jeweler. I've bought several gifts here for my lady over the years. She has loved and been complimented by everything that's come out of this fine shop. Most recently, my fiancee and I showed up during the recent pandemic, as we were intending on a live webcast wedding and needed bands quickly. I'd like to give a rave review for the customer service provided to a resident here at the SNF in Carlsbad By The Sea Care Center. Our resident wasn't able to leave the facility and Gems Of La Costa Offered their service for free to come and have the ring removed, all at no cost. The resident's husband was present at the time and he mentioned that the jeweler was very kind, patient, and gentle with his wife. We had his ring custom made from Gems of La Costa. They provided the steps, timeline, and pricing up front. They created a mold so we could actually see what the ring would look like, and we were able to make changes before they made the final ring, which was perfect because that is how we noticed that we wanted to change a design element.
