This review is long overdue for this amazing family business. I've been working with this jewelry store since 2019 specifically with Chad. My husband found them and gave me the idea to custom make my own engagement ring and so we did. I told Chad what I wanted and gave him our budget and when I tell you he worked his magic he definitely did. He found the perfect stone for me and it was gorgeous. There's something about loose diamonds that just make my heart melt.

When I saw my diamond I fell inlove. It was the perfect cut, clarity, grade and size. It's also so cool to be able to see them under a microscope. Fast forward to a couple of months and I got my ring. It was indeed gorgeous, just the way I imagined it and more. The best part about all of this is the experience. Custom making your own jewelry is such an experience you'll remember because you know that's you and that's your style.

They provide you with a GIA cert as well. I did insure my ring because of the value of it. I love the simplicity yet elegant look of my ring. I'm eventually going to start the process for my cross necklace with Chad. All in all, this was an amazing experience and I would never go anywhere else to buy custom jewelry.

I had a new strap for my watch that was a little more complicated than usual to install. I went to Higgins Jewelry and spoke to Chad to see if they could assist me in switching it out. He was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and took great care with my watch. Good honest family jeweler. Will definitely come back!

Love love love this jewelry store. They are hands down the BEST jewelry in town. Diane, Dan and Chad helped me design this ring. I was so elated when saw the final result. They are very knowledgeable, creative and very trustworthy people you will ever encounter. You won't be disappointed the minute you stepped into this store. Our favorite jewelry store! We like the fact that this is an old family business in Hayward. Chad is very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. I trusted him with my grandmother's wedding and engagement rings with great results.

Higgins did a beautiful job replacing the stone in my engagement ring. I had lost my stone a few years ago. When my Mom passed, I inherited her rings and used the stone from her ring. I could not be happier! They also combined it with my wedding ring, making 1 gorgeous ring. We have also previously used for some jewelry and watch repair. They do an excellent job and quick turn around.

This is my second time coming to the store. They fixed my pendant and had it looking real nice. I tried to tip him and he said no thanks. I recommend this guy for any of your jewelry needs.

Awesome and fast service. I brought my wife's wedding ring to be repaired. It had to be cut at the hospital and they cut it in 2 pieces. Brought it to Higgins and it was done in just a couple of days. The ring looks great an I didn't have to break the bank. Thank you guys for being very professional.

My partner and I went into Higgins to shop for an engagement ring. After visiting the store, we stopped looking. Chad did a great job with hearing out wants and demonstrated his passion for making good custom work. In our initial discussion, I could see him visualizing it in his mind and using his hands to describe it. We loved the professionalism but also the pride in their work. There is a reason why they have good reviews and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have come here for a few different services. Their prices are a bit higher than other competitors but I love that they are a family business. I recently stopped by on a Friday around 2:40pm but they were closed which was a little frustrating because the open hours were until 3pm. I'd call ahead to make sure they are open before stopping but otherwise all my experiences have been positive and they do really nice work!

My fiancee and I went to the jewelry center to purchase an estate engagement ring for me and a custom-made wedding band for him. We immediately felt really comfortable with the family - they are very friendly and are specialists in hand-crafting jewelry. They encouraged me to purchase my wedding band (an 1890s cigar band) on Etsy that I had been eyeing, and found the absolute perfect engagement ring to match with it from their estate collection.

We have since had my wedding band resized and purchased diamond earring jackets. We couldn't be happier with our purchases and with the service received. Higgins is definitely our jewelry store for life!

I was looking for a local place to get my wedding ring resized. It was never really the right size, so I had to get it enlarged. I only came in twice, once for drop off & pick up. When I came in, you have to get buzzed into the store. I was acknowledged & helped right away. The staff was very nice & I was only in there for 15 minutes. They told me the price & gave me a ticket.

I was informed I could bring some old jewelry & get credit for my resizing. It only look a week & I had to call with my ticket number. They pick up the phone most of the time; I think I only had to call double once. For pickup I came in & again was helped right away. I got my ring back, it fit much better & it looks like new. You can't even tell I got it bigger!

I was nervous about it, but it looks beautiful. With my old jewelry, I didn't have to pay anything & got extra cash. With rose gold I had to pay $88, but they said it depends on the ring for the price. I will definitely be back for any other services! It's very easy to find & was close to my house.

This place is a gem! Haha get it!? Seriously Chad was super helpful with upgrading the center stone of my engagement ring. I personally picked out the center stone, and he made sure it was an excellent stone before he signed off on it. Then his team did a marvelous job setting it. I am so happy at the work they have done. I will have my wedding band designed by him.

Chad is amazing. Great and super approachable person. Same goes to the other two people who I spoke to. I'm local and was looking for someone who can fix a couple of my Rolex to remove links and reinstall a brackets that I couldn't put back. Chad did a great job with no worries. Super fast too. I was in and out no longer than 15 mins. Prices are super reasonable too. I have a lot more pieces and will go back for more link adjustments. I just wish they polish. Can't have them all.

An absolute gem in Hayward. If you want an honest family owned jewelry center, look no further. Chad and Dan assisted my fiance in creating a dream engagement ring. They custom designed my ring providing input, but also allowed him to help with the design process. The ring is absolutely stunning. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. You can't go wrong with any jewelry you select at this store.

The owner was wonderful he has great customer service. Quick service no wait. He fixed the band on my watch. I'm so thankful for his service I've been trying to get this watch fixed for a while and he took care of the job. Thank you

I'm typically really picky on where I take my watches and with Covid-19 it's been tough finding a good watch store, but they did a great job and they were friendly while maintaining the social distancing.

Forgive me for I have forgotten the owner's name as he just told me like 20mins ago but his shop named after his last name #HIGGINS but above all that, Mr. Higgins literally helped me get what I wanted even with a last min show up to his shop. I highly recommend this shop for jewelries and resizing watches(yup, my main reason for going in there as a first timer and the owner literally satisfied my need for my watches) Thanks so much Mr. Higgins.

Do not go here for watch batteries or repair.! I took a Movado watch in for a battery change. They took it apart and then said they didn't have the right machine to replace the back. When I when to pick it up they gave it me in pieces with the crystal off (held in place by tape) and told me the gasket had failed. THEY LIED! When i took it to an authorized dealer I was told that the wrong tools were used on the watch, and that the workings of the watch had been damaged, new parts had to ordered and it cost me $125 to get repaired! Anyone can make a mistake but flat out lying is unacceptable!

Chad and his team made my engagement ring and our wedding bands and we are in LOVE with them. We had a custom design and an idea in our minds and Chad made it come to life. We are so happy and can't wait to wear these rings forever! Thank you Chad and Higgins Jewelery Center!

REALLY. solid service, great local small business! i'm a local small business owner, who appreciates the hard work involved and try supporting local businesses, sometimes that doesn't work out but i always try. in this case, i found an absolute TREASURE! The service is excellent, the quality of products is excellent, and after a little honest negotiations, everyone able to express what they felt represented a "fair deal" (gold jewelry prices fluctuate with gold prices, theres no getting around that!), i walked out with 4 beautiful smaller gold necklaces to give to my daughers & grand daughters as forever christmas gifts. Thank you, i got everything i wanted, and the chains look beautiful on the girls :)

Higgins Jewelry Center is awesome! Our family has been going here since the 70s when it was the Bulova Center (same family owners). They are always friendly and willing to take the time to answer questions and make sure the customer understands any work to be performed. Today the wife and I took in my new watch to have the band sized for me, a multi-stone diamond and emerald ring of hers that had lost one of the emeralds, a son in laws wedding ring that has a cracked diamond, and our daughters 3-ring wedding set that needed cleaning.

We were out of there in about 20 minutes with the watch resized (I wore it out of the store), the ring set cleaned (beautifully!), an estimate to repair the men's wedding ring with comparable diamond, and a proposal for resetting the stones from my wifes ring in a new, custom setting. We have always had positive experiences here and Dann is a very talented gemologist and jewelry designer. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of their work is excellent! We would not hesitate to recommend them!
