Aweful place they Had a guy standing on the corner with a sign saying they offer the best price To buy Diamonds and gold. LIES they actually offered the least out of the 6 places I went to on the same day. In fact they were 196% less then my lowest offer. BEWARE and always go to other places as you will see they will be the lowest and not even close to the best price paid as advertised.

They false advertise. There also said on their sign, building and website they buy diamonds and gold at the best prices and told a customer they don't buy diamonds. The customer said there is a guy on the street holding a sign saying you do and so does your website. They woman had the nerve to say "not right now things are slow". But somehow forgot they were paying someone to stand on Westheimer and hold a saying just the opposite. This place is a joke. It might have been good 25 years ago but now are just out to rip everyone off and deceive their customers.

Everybody was extremely helpful and Steven did an amazing job with our rings. They are absolutely beautiful! He's earned himself a customer for life.

Had two rings custom made at Houston Jewelry. Steven assisted us, and did a fantastic job both in getting the rings made, and in assisting us during the process.

All of the staff at Houston Jewelry were friendly and very knowledgeable. The quality of merchandise in the store is fabulous (must see the candelabra pair on the front table)! I did not realize how long they had been in business here in Houston (1866). Really well done.

Houston Jewelers is amazing! They are the most honest people around! Made cleaning out my moms house hassle free! Even called me back to say they made a mistake on something I sold them and to come get another check. Super honest! They actually explain things to you. I have learned a ton of things from Rex. He is very helpful! I will continue coming here for anything I sell or purchase! Trust me go to them! You won't regret it! Rex and the entire staff are helpful plus they are a lot of fun!

With all of the jewelry store options Houston has the Houston Jewelry show room and staff are the best in Houston. The staff is amazingly friendly easy to have a conversation with and honest on their prices. They will stand behind each and every piece that they sell. I live on 45 south quite a ways from this location but I will never shop anywhere else except the Houston Jewelry store. I sold my Rolex they gave me an amazing deal. They were fast friendly and I am grateful to them. Thank you Houston Jewelry.

Houston Jewelry has been my family's jeweler since the 1950's. My most recent purchases were both custom designed rings. Gigi is hugely talented and worked to create absolute perfect designs until I was completely happy! Pricing was also great, as I checked with other jewelers, who couldn't compete with HJ pricing! I was also provided detailed certificates for my records and insurance purposes.

If you're seeking something that isn't currently in stock, just let them know. Gigi will obtain multiple stones for your review. Then pick a setting from their in-store molds or custom-design a one-of-a-kind piece with Gigi. Be patient through the process. it'll be worth it. Gigi works with you, making modifications, until you are 100% in love with your new design.

I could go on and on. This wonderful family owned and operated jewelry store is on its third generation. And they are still producing the prettiest jewelry at the lowest prices! Hint: Shop Labor Day. yes, they're open for business. for the deepest discounts! Don't miss it!

That Alaskan girl who sang "Hands" definitely puts the Jewel in Houston Jewelry. This is a nice independent jewelry store located in the Galleria area just west of the Galleria and I'm definitely a fan. In fact, they have better prices and are actually more friendly and personable than some of the overpriced mall stores - and other stores too. So I'm definitely a fan.

I will never stop by this place again. I needed a couple of watch batteries. There were three people working. It took forever to just even be acknowledged by one of them. He was busy with another customer but seemed to try a little. He asked me to fill out a slip of paper. Then I waited and waited. I was so frustrated when a woman walked in well after me and one of the men rushed over to her asking how he could help her like I wasn't even standing there waiting all that time. So I walked out. They were going to charge me $75 for two batteries anyway which sounded ridiculous.

I will never go back to the Houston Jewelry on Westheimer again. I was in the store Sat. to get a ring sized and I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. Not only was I treated badly but the elderly lady that was waiting on me was treated horribly by another employee. I have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior especially by an employee that was dressed in shorts and tennis shoes. Needless to say I took my ring and went to another jewelry store, had it sized and was treated with respect.

Always courteous and helpful.even during the pandemic. A Houston favorite. Who wants to buy jewelry on the internet alone.seeing it in person is a must.

This store has been around for a very long time and there's a reason for that! Not the cheapest place but it's worth it. Came here to replace prongs on a ring and very satisfied with the result. Knowledgeable and trustworthy jewelers who do their job really well. Store manager is very professional and polite. Good experience.

Uncomfortable doesn't begin to describe ny retail jewelry experience. I will not go back. I'll never refer someone there. Honestly regret my purchase because of the experience.

This place has the most beautiful jewelry. My husband brought me another upgrades set of rings for our Anniversay from Houston Jewelry. I picked them out myself and I'm so happy. The staff was outstanding. My next purchase will come from Houston Jewelry!

I just stopped by this place to get my rings cleaned during my lunch break. I left them with an older gentlemen, because I needed to go get some coffee in the meantime. Before cleaning the rings, he tested them for loose stones. When I received them back and slid them on my fingers, they were shining brilliantly. I asked him how much I owed him, and he said it was on the house. Great service! I will definitely return.

The best thing I did was walk in to this store. Customer service is impeccable. Mark, gigi, debbie, lily, and Jerry were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. Mark was amazing. He went above and beyond helping me find the perfect piece. Their in-house financing makes it very convenient to walk in and get something very nice. I will never buy jewelry anywhere else. Houston Jewelry is a must for anyone looking for something nice for themselves or for a loved one.

After reviewing my complaint regarding being charged $25 plus tax for removing one link from my watch the store sent me a refund they really work with their customers and wish to maintain their positive image i will shop here in the future

Stopped in for a watch battery. Lady gave me a song and dance why they couldn't sell just a battery. How to drive away customers who might someday buy something more expensive.

My fiance designed my engagement ring here and I love it. There are a couple people here that seem shady but he dealt with the manager (tall and short brown hair) that is AMAZING and really seemed to genuinely care about the experience we had. I'm glad that he was able to work with her because I really love my ring. I realized my main diamond was loose while on vacation, we brought it in and they were able to fix the issue and she wanted to see all of our engagement photos.

I personally really enjoyed my experience with her. Side note - it would be nice if they had the rings in the mens section separated into the correct metals. I was searching for my fiances ring and we decided to go somewhere else because the lady running this section had to look at every ring to determine the type of metal. Took the fun out of it.

As soon as you walk in you immediately get a bad vibe. The way the employees talk to each other makes me uncomfortable. No one knows where anything is they just kind a bubble around the show floor. They don't even deserve the one star but it's all I got. I didn't feel like I mattered or that they needed my business so I high tailed it out of there while they argued about who misplaced the charger to the weight scale.

Horrible customer service, I was quoted a price for some jewelry I was selling, I told them I would very likely be back shortly, I wanted to see if I could get a better price at a few other shops. I walk back in an hour later, and the gentleman who had tested the items, and quoted me a price was gone, the woman that waited on me said she would have to start over, though she spoke to the gentleman over the phone.

She proceeds to degrade my pieces, and tells me the original quote was now null and void- she said my pieces were not the karat weight the first associate had determined and that she would not honor his findings or quote. Needless to say, I walked out and proceeded to Wright's Jewelry and Loan, where I had received the same quote- I got the same amount of money that both had once quoted me.

You can count Shaw's Jewelry and loan as well- they gave the same 1K quote also- So, apparently two other highly, reputable establishments don't know as much as the pompous woman who acts like the boss of Houston Jewelry. Horrible - unprofessional- insulting. * * *

Scam Alert: I attempted to purchase an engagement ring, and I was scammed. First, I was told the ring was $4,000, but if purchased the same day, I could get it for $3,000. The ring was a 1 karat diamond ring. I put $700 down the same day. One week later I found a 2 karat diamond ring from a different jeweler for less. I called the store to cancel my order, but I was told all sales are Final (no refund.) they offered a store credit which must be used within 30 days.

I visited the store to pick out something for $700, but there's nothing in the store worth having for $700. The sales associate checked the system and there was no trace of my $700. I was told I NEVER paid, until I pulled out my receipts. They then acknowledged I did pay, but still refused to give me my money back. All I am asking for is a refund.
