I love each piece of jewelry purchased there and of course each one comes boxed/wrapped so beautifully.

Love working with Randy and Matt at James Free. The only Rolex AD/Jewelry store I will ever buy from again. I travel for a living and have been to many Jewlers all over the world, all I can say is this place is at the top of my list. Beautiful showroom with great people that have awesome Midwestern values. Randy and Matt's customer service skills are second to none. I look forward to continue building a friendship with these guys, and adding more watches to the collection!

Hands down the best place to buy jewelry in Dayton/Cincinnati area. You get five star service. Their prices are very reasonable. They always treat us like family. Randy, our sales representative is just excellent. He makes the whole buying experience just memorable. Great crew! I reached out to them after not having any luck with my current jeweler on a watch I've been looking to purchase for over a year. Spoke on the phone with them and decided to travel an hour to pay a visit, which was well worth it. Went in after work and spoke with Matt. I was by no means dressed professionally due to leaving straight from work but Matt treated me with respect, took me serious and gave me his full attention. This will be my new go to jewelry store. Well worth the short hour drive.

We have been going here for a few years and purchased my engagement and wedding rings. Initially worked with Hiroko who was great and since have been working with Scott! He is always so friendly and helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure we are taken care of. Can't recommend James Free enough!

After having an order for a Gucci ring canceled without notification by a major high end department store, I contacted James Free Jewelers online customer service and was fortunate to have Alicia (not sure of spelling) place the order through the US distributor and get me the ring in time for Christmas. The effort she put forth on a relatively inexpensive item of jewelry was unbelievable. Although I don't buy jewelry frequently, James Free Jewelers has earned a customer for life thanks to the exemplary customer service put forth by Alicia.

Heather was so wonderful to us. From the moment you walk in, you can see the high level of service. Heather helped us with both repairs and choosing a replacement wedding band for my husband. She is knowledgeable and has been in the jewelry business for years- that translates to excellent advice. She was so helpful and even helped with trade-ins. John Paolucci was my Sales Rep. there. He made me feel right at home while I was there. He is very knowledgeable, humble and honest. I had so much fun while I was there on Wednesday, I went back today looking for earrings! Jeannette is very sweet and very helpful too. I love how they interact like a family and treat you as such. Decided to stop in after having no luck with finding a Christmas present at our other jeweler. We were very impressed with how welcoming the staff was and how festive the store had been decorated. Heather was helping us look for a gift and she was fantastic. She took the time to listen to what my wife was interested in and made an extra effort to make sure the piece she liked was available. Im tired of seeing these cheesy commercials. Lack luster showcases and the store is small. The employees are poorly dressed and educated. The females were old and sitting down like they were at home. I could tell the fat greasy guy was the boss. glad Cartier treats me good i dont have to shop outside of them. look at Cartier gold and look at james free i rest my case!

First class operation! Style, quality, design, they have the best selection and service in the entire Dayton area. In my opinion James Free is the premier jewelry outlet in the Miami Valley. They really care that you are happy with your purchase. If you are not happy or you have an issue with your jewelry they really want to make it right. James free was amazing. They went above and beyond my expectations and my experience was memorable. Shopping for our 25th wedding anniversary. Michael Gudger was so helpful and selecting the perfect gift! After selecting the perfect gift, presentation in packaging really put it over the top! The absolute best service and people I could ask for. They are kind, helpful, and personable. The service continues after you leave the store with updates on work being done, deals sent out, etc. I bought an engagement ring from them 2 years ago and continue to return anytime I have a jewelry need. I plan on being a lifelong customer.

Stopped in to get estimates on reworking a pedant. I bought a huge gorgeous stone in San Francisco Chinatown but the setting was thin and cheap. I also looked around. nice stuff but seemed expensive. I also found a stone in a parking lot. it appeared to be a diamond. they checked it for me. it wasn't real. Disappointing. Lol was worth trying. They had some really gorgeous pieces. Worth stopping in if you are looking to spoil yourself.

Although my initial experience was terrible, Cathryn really went out of her way to make sure that my experience with James Free ended on a positive note. Due to the fact that I received a heavily damaged/defective item they refunded me in full and went the extra mile to send me a replacement in perfect condition, free of charge. I value good customer service and have to say that they know how to take a negative situation and turn it into a positive one.

I just want to start off by saying they have the kindest customer service! I am an online customer and Molly was the absolute sweetest! They have a gorgeous selection of jewelry (including my favorite Maria Tash) not to mention a better warranty on their jewelry than the brands themselves. I will shop here again, I can't wait to see what else they get in. Best mail order service for fine jewelry! The selections are comprehensive and they run frequent internet discounts. Molly and the rest of the mail order staff are really responsive. I just received my second mail order shipment from James Free and I couldn't be happier.

We live down the street from the James Free in Kettering, and couldn't ask for a better experience. Randy was extremely patient and informative every time we stopped in while searching for an engagement ring. I, a lowly serf, come in to have my inexpensive, outlet-store watch battery replaced. they treated me like royalty. Exaggerations aside, I had a wonderful (albeit short) experience here. The woman who helped me was incredibly kind, and I was asked by several people if I would like a drink. They replaced the battery quickly and cleaned up my watch for me. The store is beautiful inside, and all of the staff were friendly. One day when I am ready to upgrade to a Rolex, I will be back.

My girlfriend and I have been shopping for quite some time, looking for an engagement ring, so we stopped by James Free to see what they had in stock as well as investigate a custom ring. The associate was very helpful, he explained everything we needed to know when it came to purchasing an engagement ring. He was patient and very easy to work with.

After our walk though, we gave the associate my information and even spoke with him about custom making a ring. He was enthusiastic and said he would get in touch with me. It has been five weeks and I'm still waiting for a follow up. Even when I walked in the store a second time, they said they had misplaced my information and needed it again.

Bottom line: I do not recommend this jeweler. I've had a better experience at Jaffe Jewelers. They are down the road by Trader Joe's. They were much more attentive and most importantly, they call back.

I am so thankful my fiance picked James Free Jewelers for my engagement ring. Sherri did an excellent job at working with him long distance to pick out a quality diamond ring for me. My ring was a little big so I decided to take it in to be resized even though I live about 2 hours from their location. But it was WORTH it. The staff was super friendly and took the time to educate me everything about diamonds.

They answered all my questions and they were able to get it resized that day! I am so happy with this company. I will be returning to get my ring cleaned and purchase our bands from them! I would recommend this jewelry store to anyone. Very pleased with the friendly, caring staff that are willing to go above and beyond to help people find the perfect ring.

I love this place and the people! It's very rare that you have a company that cares so much about your PAST purchases. Yep! That's right. they aren't always trying to sell you something. They truly care about you loving your jewelry long term with cleanings, size adjustments and more. My husband got my engagement ring there a few years ago and it still shimmers just like the day he gave it to me because of James Free.

I've had multiple phenomenal experiences at James Free Jewelers! I bought my fiance's engagement ring there and our sales representative, Sarah Short, educated me on everything about Diamonds and gave me multiple free beers as well! This is the only place that I've seen in Dayton where you can purchase loose diamonds and really customize your ring to your budget and specifications. Sarah was extremely patient and allowed me to make my selections and followed up with me just enough with emails.

She also helped me keep it a secret from my fiance by sending the follow up info to a friend of mine. My fiance absolutely LOVES the ring and has gotten nothing but compliments on her ring since she's gotten it! Since proposing, I've been back to follow up with Sarah and give her the good news & they let me bring my dog in and gave me a couple extra brews for my trouble!

Now we're shopping for wedding bands and we had such a great experience that we went back to James Free and got a great deal from our favorite sales representative, Sarah. Everyone else has been extremely friendly as well. One of the other representatives gave us recommendations on winter snow tires and a frequent flyer card for a car wash place that already had punches on it! They've truly gone above and beyond throughout the process and we have gotten amazing quality rings that we are both happy with. However, they also have an awesome selection of watches, diamonds, earrings, necklaces and anything else you need. We truly recommend James Free Jewelers & can't wait to wear our wedding bands!
