Some people want to buy the biggest diamond possible. Is this always the right choice? The larger the diamond, chances are the more inclusions it likely has, and because it's larger, these inclusions are typically even more visible than on a smaller diamond. But most importantly, if the diamond cut isn't proportioned correctly, it won't return the maximum amount of light through the top of the diamond. This illustrates that no matter how large the diamond, its cut and proportions determine how brilliant the diamond really is.

I never leave reviews- but this jewelry store is just beyond wonderful. I brought my husband's grandmother's ring to resize and restore, it had been used for 62 years before I was honored to received it. The long years showed! The ring looks amazing! Like new. I'm so pleased with the service and quality of the work I'm writing my review in my car- outside he store where I just picked up my ring! Best jewelry store in Vero!

I have been to John Michael Matthew's jewelry several times and love going back. Gail has helped me many times and is always patient with my indecisiveness. There are many great treasures to be seen with their selection of vintage and antique jewelry. I lost one of a favorite pair of small hoop earrings. Dang! Searching online didn't yield a replacement. Deciding to look for a jewelry store near me, I found John Michael Mathews in Vero Beach-all '5-star' reviews! Called and explained my problem to Gail. She was lovely! Since stores were just reopening, she offered to email me some catalog pages if I didn't want to risk coming out.
She said that if I liked something, she would order it and then if I didn't like it, I was under no obligation to buy. This is within 30 seconds of dialing the phone! I did go there and also met Victoria, who is the jeweler. The store had lots of lovely selections and also beautiful estate jewelry. The women found me several beautiful choices and I found a pair that really suited me.
The only hard part was deciding, because I liked several. Gail and Victoria's attitude is so friendly and they are beyond helpful. They are very kind people; I feel I really lucked out finding this place and recommend it highly.

The staff is absolutely amazing and very personable. I had a great time trying on and admiring jewelry that I would not have been in my jewelry collection. John Michael Matthews has a wonderful collection of different types of jewelry. They also will inspect and repair jewelry of all types. They advised me that I needed to have a weak link repaired on a necklace and the prongs replaced on my engagement ring. The owners and staff are the best on the business.
