I had a wonderful experience all around at Josephs. I couldn't recommend them more enthusiastically. The service was outstanding in every way. Everyone with whom I interacted was friendly, patient, knowledgable, and respectful. Specific shout out to, and appreciation for, Brad, who helped me obtain a particular watch, that was out of stock at the time I initially inquired, in a timely manner and at a fair price. I look forward to shopping at Joesphs in the future.

I went in not knowing a ton about diamonds or engagement rings, but Cassidy welcomed me in and helped guide me to choose the perfect engagement ring that my fiance loved, all without ever feeling pressured to buy or feel like I should've known more before I can in. Cassidy made my experience way better than I imagined ring shop being and Joseph's did a great job and a very quick job at getting the diamond set on the engagement ring and resizing the band as well. 100% recommend. I was impressed from the moment I walked in to the moment I left with the ring in my hand. Great people with amazing costumer service! Couldn't be more pleased.

Joseph's has been my family's jeweler forever. My dad purchased items for my mom from Joseph's, my grandpa bought items for my grandma from Joseph's. There has never been any doubt where I would go for jewelry for my wife. 13 years ago when I was just a poor college senior they made me a beautiful engagement ring and wedding band set for my bride.

This past week, I was able to add slightly to my Joseph's collection with another custom made ring for my bride. Never had a bad experience in the slightest. They treat each client with respect and courtesy, taking the time to get to know you and your needs. The experience is never rushed or pushed into a higher price point. Joseph's is quite simply a wonderful jeweler. I won't go anywhere else.

My fiance and I worked with Cassidy Tovey and had the best experience. She was patient and took into consideration all our ideas and vision for what our wedding rings would look like. It was a smooth process and the rings came back in a timely manner! We are impressed and are so excited for our big day just 26 days away!

Nancy made my experience enjoyable. She found exactly what I was looking for. In fact, she found something better than I had planned. She stayed in my price range which showed respect over sales goals. I could not have asked for more.

My boyfriend came in and spend a few thousand on a necklace for me- including coming back to exchange for a nicer chain. We thought the service was great. A week later, my college age son came in and spent a few hundred on a necklace and earrings for his girlfriend. The person who helped my son and I immediately offered him a discount. Why is it that a couple hundred dollar purchase gets you a %15 discount, but when you spend thousands you pay full price? Very disappointed, Joseph's.

Whitney is the bomb.she totally went above and beyond to take of my needs. I brought my watch in for a cleaning and she explained the process with options. She is by far the most personable employee that comes in contact with customers. Everyone else was ok but nobody had her excited personality. She likes her job and it shows. Great job Whitney and thanks again!

I worked with Cassidy at Josephs and she was a joy to work with from start to finish! I was visiting from San Francisco and came into the store with my mother for a baby gift for my niece and to browse anniversary bands. I left my visit with a one-of-a-kind gift for my new niece and the most stunning anniversary band. Cassidy was kind, the consummate professional, and I am so pleased with the service Josephs provided to my engagement ring repair and the sizing of my anniversary band in tandem.

The service team was able to manage a tight turnaround time so I could bring my new band home with me. Infinitely grateful for the excellent service and for Cassidy's care. Thank you!

Shopping for a wedding ring or trying get a special gift for a loved one can be very stressful. I was lucky enough to have Kelly assist me on several occasions. She was very professional, fun, and knowledgeable. Kelly and other employees that have assisted me are the main reason I would recommend Joseph's. Of course they also have an excellent selection of jewelry, but the customer service sets them apart.

I have been a Joseph's customer (and my grandparents and parents before me) since the 1970's. Back then, I often went downtown, when there were some great stores right on the street level, along with Joseph's on 6th Avenue as I recall. Times have changed! The store at West Glen is very nice, as always. There is a family led team of employees, eager and qualified to help with anything you might need, from watches to fine gemstone jewelry, to a gift for someone's birthday.

I am pleased to see that my old high school schoolmate Toby is still around, even though he could retire of course if he chose to do that. All in all, even if one is just looking, and enjoys seeing great watches (my weakness) or very fine jewerly items and gifts, it is a lovely place to visit and simply educate oneself about what is available locally. I hope and am quite certain that they continue to keep the store going in the family for another 100+ years!

Came in just to browse and use a gift card. We were followed around and stared at the entire time. We were asked every couple of minutes if there's something we needed help with. Very uncomfortable. I understand they take pride in customer service, but sometimes you just want space to look. My husband said "I'm never going there again." I'm sure I will go back because they have very nice products, but my husband won't. We didn't use our gift card because we just wanted to get out of there.

Working with Estelle was amazing! She walked us through every step of the process, gave advise from her experience taken our thoughts into account at all times and got us a product that is exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend working with her and the team at Joseph's.

Went in to look at expensive watches and was prepared to purchase one. Over the years I had purchased several items from Joseph's and each time was treated courteously and given a meaningful discount by Mr. Baum, Toby or his son. This time, however, the salesperson was offended I had even requested a discount. He promptly called over the intercom. "Customer requests discount."and stated, "I can't help you anymore." Simultaneously, another staff person responded with "no discount!".

I left the store. I think it may have been because I was attired in shorts and a t-shirt! Most unfortunate The response of Joseph's is incredulous to say the least. The spokesperson states neither store has an intercom, yet the salesperson person's request "Joseph's family member requested; customer requests discount" echoed throughout the store. The salesperson's request was clearly broadcast over some sort of loudspeaker.

Almost simultaneously an unidentified person, who was at least 15 feet from the salesperson, exhorted, "no discount". The individual didn't offer an introduction or explanation. As soon as she stated "no discount" she turned and walked away. I get that some merchandise may not be discounted. However, the unprofessional manner in which this transaction was handled is beyond the pale. Attempting to spin or deflect such poor service merely accentuates the problem and drives people to the competition!

Fantastic recent shopping experience with Brad in WDM, helping us find watches my wife and I love. Been shopping at Joseph's for over 20 years, always perfect from wedding rings to gifts !

My shopping experience at the downtown Josephs Jewelers was wonderful yesterday thanks to two great customer service oriented employees. Gwen helped me find the perfect birthday gift for my daughter and Todd shared his knowledge about the stone the earrings were made from. So, if you're looking for beautiful jewelry or fine gifts and great customer service, you'll find it all at Josephs.

Absolutely love Joseph's Jewelers! My fiance bought my ring there and I couldn't be happier. Jesse was extremely helpful when we went to look at diamonds! He was good about explaining which details would get us within our budget and was super informative. Made the decision making process easy! Whenever I go in there to get it cleaned they are friendly and make me feel so appreciated and special!

We bought our wedding set at Joseph's 20 years ago. I just recently upgraded and I live in a different state. I recently worked with Jim and he made the transaction easy. I know I can trust the price because they don't play the silly sales games like other jewelers.

Joseph's is a professional jewelry with excellent and reliable service, they make any jewelry you want and will have you fair price. They will make sure you get what you wanted. They also sell watches and artistic glass ware. I highly recommend as best place in the area. You will have a great experience.

My husband had purchased my beautiful engagement ring at Joseph's, and we later went in to shop for our wedding bands as well. Kelly was EXTREMELY professional and knowledgeable, and so helpful guiding us through the whole process. I had wanted to design my wedding band using diamonds from a necklace from my grandmother. I showed Kelly what I like, and she basically designed multiple rings for me to choose from.

I could not be more thrilled with the result! She even arranged for the rings to be shipped to us since we live out of state. I would highly recommend Kelly and Joseph's to anyone!

Love this place! They were the happy ending to what was an incredibly stressful issue in my life. Because I'm a dork, I lost the beautiful engagement ring that my fiance had bought me, and when they ordered a new one it was far too small to fit on my finger. We put off taking it anywhere for a while, but eventually took it to Joseph's because it was a convenient location.

The clerk was very kind about our problem and helped to properly size my finger, but told us that because my ring is made of sterling silver it would be difficult to resize. Nevertheless, she said she could send it to the shop to see if they could resize it (over two sizes!). She was sure not to give us false hope, and told us we could receive an answer in two days.

When they did call us back, we were told that they were able to resize my ring after all, and it now fits just right. It is beautiful, and the setting doesn't seem to have been affected by the sizing at all. Thank you!

Bought a wedding band a couple of months ago to replace the one I lost snorkeling. Josephs Jewelers is the best place to buy jewelry in the Des Moines area. I've lived here all my 61 years and never, not once, have I heard a complaint about Josephs. It doesn't matter your price range--do yourself a favor and go to Josephs.

If you're not serious about your jewelry, this isn't the place to go. Joseph's has repeatedly proven to me that they are the best jeweler around in terms of taking care of the jewelry I already have as well as helping me to find new jewelry. To be honest, I won't trust my jewelry or jewelry needs to anyone else. You will not find cheap jewelry here, nor will you find jewelry of inferior quality. So if you want either of those things, move along. Customer service is top-notch, and they will go above and beyond to help you, whatever it is you need.

Had a great experience with my recent Valentines Day purchase for Ashley! She has never had a diamond, since her engagement ring was a pearl and she just wears a wedding band, so I thought, heck might be time to hook this lady up with a little bling! So I went to the locally family owned for over 100 years Josephs Jewelry store in downtown Des Moines!

The staff was super great, and really helped me find something awesome in my budget, I decided on a diamond necklace. So my buying experience was great! They treated me with a ton of respect even though I probably looked like I just rolled out of bed! Anyway all was great, gave her the present but right away when she put it on the chain got caught on a scarf and broke, OOOOPS diamond down!

Anyway we found the diamond, and went back to Josephs to get a new chain, and they were so amazing trading it out and actually giving us money back for the problem with the first chain, they didn't have to do this! Then a day later called to make sure the new chain was working out for Ashley! This service was above and beyond and the honesty of the staff was second to none! They replaced the chain and we got money back, even though that's not what we were asking for! Now that's service! Great work Josephs!
