Lehua Jewelers is a full-service jewelry store specializing in handcrafted Hawaiian heirloom jewelry as well as custom rings, earrings, bracelets, and neckwear. Our family-owned store, located in Waimea (Kamuela) on Hawaii Island, was established in 1985. Our Hawaiian jewelry features hand-cut letters filled with genuine glass enamel.
Native Hawaiian mythology tells the tale of two young lovers named 'Ohi'a and Lehua. Pele, the goddess of volcanoes, was also in love with the handsome 'Ohi'a. She approached him, but he refused her. In a jealous rage, Pele turned 'Ohi'a into a tree. Lehua was devastated. The other gods, who pitied Lehua for her loss, turned her into the flower of the 'Ohi'a tree.

Purchased a pendant for my wife while we were visiting the Big Island and we very happy with the experience. This week I corresponded via e-Mail with Pat to purchase matching earrings and they were here in Ohio in less than a week. I don't often get to the Big Island (my family is on Maui) so my experience is purely online and by phone. Lehua is honored with creating the bracelet for Miss Aloha at Merrie Monarch so I have seen their product being a hula mom on the mainland. I looked on the website and found such beautiful items I could not decide which pattern to get on my bracelet. Pat was so kind in helping me decide and I went with the 14k 8mm gold plumeria bracelet.
When I received it I was SO thrilled it was absolutely exquisite and I am so happy with my purchase. Both Pat and Luana were so generous with their time on the telephone helping me with my purchase (I also bought a 10mm sterling silver bracelet that is also gorgeous). I received the items in just a few days with lovely packaging and a kind note. I HIGHLY recommend for authentic, beautifully crafted Hawaiian jewelry done by Hawaiian trained artisans. Love this wonderful treasure of a jewelry store. From the moment I saw the turquoise necklace which beckoned to me through the glass of the front of their store, I was smitten! Luana kindly helped through so many questions of "what's that!" And "what's that other lovely shade of blue mineral!" She never pressured one bit, and I got educated on gems and minerals much more than the purchase I left the store with. Kai, the son in the family business, was also a friendly, warm and helpful guy who indulged me with all my curious questions. I highly recommend stopping by this cute and friendly local store. The aloha I feel from coming here still warms my heart when I think of what a nice experience it was!

I wanted the traditional Hawaiian bracelet, and after the tradition of the bracelet was explained to me I was sold! I love that I will leave this for my daughter, and then her daughter and it will continue to live on In my family. I spent more than I wanted to, but I wasn't pressured to do so, and I left with a quality, beautiful bracelet with the flower of the Big Island to remind me of my time on the island!

The first time I had experience with this business was probably 15 years ago and I was on vacation here in the big Island and my gold chain got twisted in a knot. They were very helpful and repaired it to look like new before I had to leave. Since we have retired and moved to the island, (living the dream) we use them for all our jewelry related services, such as repair, gifting etc.
The staff is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and I have never had a bad experience with them. They have a wonderful selection of gemstone jewelry, gold jewelry, silver jewelry and estate jewelry.
