Luna Jewels

We ordered a custom ring from Luna Jewels several years ago. Within the first year, two of the smaller stones fell out. Just recently the large center stone fell out, and as I have since moved to Germany, I found an excellent goldsmith here to do the repair. E125 later, she sent this note with my repaired ring: "The ring is not technically well made.

The aquamarine is too big for the setting. The stone should actually be set deeper in the setting, but the setting is too thin and it would break. The stone is solid now but unfortunately I can't give any guarantees. If you put too much pressure on the prongs it could come loose again. For such a large stone, the manufacturers have skimped on the material." I suspected this of course, after the first couple of stones came out, but they tried to blame the damage on me, when I knew I had not bumped it nearly hard enough (or at all) for stones to be falling out! Highly recommend against this shop for reasons of both quality and integrity.

I have nothing but good things to say about them as individuals. I've had multiple earrings, necklaces, and rings that were specially made from them throughout the years and have not been disappointed yet.

Meghan and Andre were absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I came in to finish my wedding ring. From the very beginning they listened to what we wanted. For having two Custom Made wedding bands to fit my engagement ring the timing was incredible too! I highly recommend coming to Luna Jewels! The price was way more reasonable making my rings instead of force fitting other already made rings to my beautiful engagement ring. Needed my wedding band resized and they did a fabulous job! Not only was it done quickly and fits perfectly, it was cleaned and polished like new. Several friends even commented on how great it looked! I highly recommend them for repairs and will be back in the future to check out their retail offerings!

Great experience working with Meghan and Andre. Incorporated all of my design choices to turn a plain, national chain Engagement and Wedding ring into a truly special three generation ring. Used heirloom gems from my mother's and grandmother's rings along with my ring to make this great celebration of 10 years of marriage. My fiancee and I came to Luna Jewels in order to repurpose my mother's old wedding ring set into a custom engagement ring. Meghan and Andre were very receptive to all our desires and completely fulfilled them all while keeping in our budget! Their communication was prompt and concise. I liked that they sent 3d models for our approval before the actual construction of the ring. Now I have a family heirloom that I couldn't be happier with. I'll be returning with my other jewelry in the future!

If it wasn't for Yelp, my wedding band would have cost more than the wedding/reception, and probably it would have broke as well. I wanted my wedding band to have both aquamarine and blue sapphire on white gold (aquamarine for my bday and sapphire for my late mom). After shopping around for the that particular arrangement, I thought that I had found the place to have my band made. Chotto Matte. I'm sure I could find some where that they can make it for a bit less than that it is being asked for. Going on Yelp I found Luna Jewels and yelpers have said that they are very satisfied with what they have made for them. Managed to visit with both Andre and Meghan with my fiance at the time, and what struck me is how informative they both were. I'm not the girl type to be all blinged out and I do not know much of jewels, but being told that one of the jewels is a very SOFT stone and it may not work out as a wedding band.!? Ugh! I'm not upset that my wedding band did not have my birthstone.

I am upset that the other place that I was about to put in an order with DID NOT TELL ME that one of the stones were soft. You would think that people selling jewelry would tell you things about what you want in a ring. Anyway, after being informed, I knew that this was the place. We put in our order and I am very happy on how it turned out. I may have to come back in a while to have it resized already. Thank you so much Andre and Meghan!

I am relatively new to Hawaii and wasn't sure where to take my engagement ring, which has been in my husbands family for 3 generations, to be repaired. After no luck with personal recommendations I went to yelp and found great reviews from Luna Jewels. I went in to meet with Andre and he couldn't have been more attentive and sincere. I got a good feeling from him so I left my very precious ring. He had it back to me in 2 days (for my birthday) and it looked brand new! I trusted and they produced, big time! When my engagement ring stone fell out and got lost I was devastated to say the least. It was an antique unique two-colored sapphire and it felt like I was never going to find a decent and reasonable replacement. My fiance and I went to Luna Jewels and spoke to Megan about finding a replacement stone. She took a very detailed description of what we wanted and took great care in measuring the setting to help us find a stone that fit perfectly.

Once a match came up, we got to go check out the stones in person. Andre was very patient with us, listening to our concerns and desires as novice jewelry buyers/owners. I felt very comfortable with him. He never gave us the sense of being taken advantage of or in it for the money. He gave us honest advice and assured us he would do all he could to help find the best fit. We are still working on finding the best replacement stone, but I have a very good feeling that we will be more than pleased with the end results. Highly recommended.

Stopped by this morning to get Andre's professional help to appraise some jewels and he not only thoroughly evaluated the diamond jewelry and cleaned them in his ultrasonic cleaner but gave me a couple of little bags to use to protect the jewels. FIRST CLASS MERCHANT that I would strongly recommend for your jewelry needs!

Andre and Megan are WONDERFUL! So helpful when it came to designing our rings! Their prices are very reasonable and will work with you until you are 100% satisfied with the design. My husband wanted a hammered ring with a bit of a concave to it. Megan sent us the designs for our wedding bands and mine was perfect! My husband's design wasn't quite what we pictured so we emailed back and forth to Luna Jewels, and every time Megan was able to send a picture of what we were describing until we got it!

The day of our wedding was memorable to say the least and our rings got so many compliments!.Andre and Megan definitely care about their product and the people who come in to their store because it shows in the craftmenship. My grandmother's ring, given to her by my grandfather, was left to my parents. It had fifteen tiny diamonds embedded in it, so my mom decided to split the diamonds between my two siblings and I so we could all carry a piece of my grandparents with us. Andre sat with us and helped us custom design a ring for me, a pendant for my sister, and agreed to leave the remaining diamonds loose for my brother as he is not sure what he wants to do with them yet.

The final products were better than I could have imagined! Andre is patient, kind, professional, and adds his own special touch to his work! I highly recommend Luna Jewels for affordable and gorgeous jewelry. I will be back! Thank you Andre and Meghan!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY: 1. QUALITY - After looking at hundreds of engagement rings all over Oahu we were able to get a larger diamond with better cut, clarity, and color. We did not have to sacrifice on anything. We got a beautiful diamond and beautiful rings. 2. DESIGN - At Luna Jewels we were able to custom design our rings to get exactly what we wanted.

The owners are extremely talented, patient and creative. Having a custom made ring is so much more meaningful than one off the shelf that your neighbor has too. 3. FABULOUS! Andre and Meghan were amazing in helping me design my ring. I brought in my mother's old engagement ring as well as my mother-in-laws old engagement ring. They were both about 1/4 carat. They helped me chose my 3-stone design and created the most beautiful ring that I love, love, love. I told them I really wanted a sleek, low-lying ring because I'm active and harsh on my hands - THEY DELIVERED!

The ring is a 3-stone halo design, that is BLING, but it sits so low on my finger - it's perfect. My family and friends were shocked in the transformation, and I think both moms want to wear the ring now :) can't thank them enough (especially with my indecisiveness). Price was so affordable. Meghan and Andre were a great help when we were designing our wedding rings. My husband designed my engagement ring here, with the help of Meghan's computer! I now have a one-of-a kind engagement and wedding ring! He had his father's wedding ring made to match, and they were very helpful with that process as well. Very friendly, professional staff.

They help validate parking, but we always walk from our place. Very helpful and hardworking in their design and making of custom-made pieces! :) I didn't give them 5 stars only because I had a little mix up with my wedding ring (I asked for 8 small diamonds to be embedded into the ring). When I received the ring, there was only 7, but Andre was able to fit in the 8th with no extra charge! :)

Well - another holiday and another absolutely amazing surprise from Luna Jewels, waiting for me. My husband and I are fairly frugal but when it comes time to honor a milestone with something unique and lovely, Luna Jewels is the place to go. Two years ago we asked Megan and Andre to create a memorable set in honor of our twentieth wedding anniversary.

It was a fun project and I enjoyed the entire process. The finished rings were beautifully executed and perfect. Fine jewelry is so personal and truly appreciate the unique items that Luna jewels creates. Most recently my husband selected a really unusual piece from their "estate" collection - and I just love it.

I asked the proprietors of Luna Jewels (Meghan and Andre) to use their imagination to develop something very special and modern out of a traditional diamond engagement ring that I own. Out of this one ring, two delightful custom creations were formed: a very cool, italian-style ring for my right hand, and a lovely simple and elegant toe ring for my left foot :)) All for a reasonable price too. Bellisimo! Bravo! Grazie!

Last summer, Robert brought me Trollbead bracelet back from Boston. It had a Green Prism, two stoppers and the swan clasp. I loved it from the moment I got it and I wanted more but no one sold them here. I did find one store during my visit to San Francisco but the salesperson was not interested in selling anything and the selection was very limited.

So needless to say no sale. Today, I found that I can now get them here in Honolulu at Luna Jewels. Andre was very helpful and they have a great selection to choose from. Just two new beads for today, but I plan to go back real soon. (Trollbead was born in Denmark since 1976. More than 500 interchangeable Trollbeads in silver, gold and semi precious stones to choose from.)
