Marin Jewelers Guild Our unique gallery is a cooperative of local artists, hand fabricating jewelry from silver, copper, gold and bronze. The metalwork is textured with hammered, stamped, reticulated and roller printed surfaces. Other metalsmithing techniques such as keum-boo, shibuichi and woven wire enhance the pearls, precious and semi-precious gemstones used in creating treasures and presents to celebrate birthdays birthstone, weddings bridal, anniversaries and the birth of a baby.

I spent many years with my family going on camping trips to remote parts of Western Australia fossiling for semi-precious gems and minerals, and finding much more - pieces of history- imperfect and time-worn, some with rough edges and corroded surfaces others with smooth, silky, rounded, put-it-in-your-pocket perfectness.
It is amazing how geologic forces create minerals and crystals that come together to create gems, colors, and textures beyond our imagination. As a lapidary artist, I love to artistically reshape stones and crystals to accentuate their beauty, rarity, and unique properties. My jewelry is always focused on the stone and I love incorporating natural, untreated, high quality and rare stones that I have cut myself into my jewelry designs.
My name is Kristen Sinn and my nickname is Bucko. With that in mind, I try to infuse my work with a sense of humor and fun. I enjoy finding ways to integrate color into my pieces using enamel and unconventional materials in addition to gems or stones. Also, I know what my pals and I like to wear everyday and when we go out! Enjoy checking out my jewelry at the Marin Jewelers Guild gallery, on this website, or at buckosinn.com.
I came to my love of metal and texture after having spent my professional life as a teacher. My transition from the classroom to the jeweler's bench has been all consuming and incredibly satisfying. My work is concerned with texture and translation. Working primarily in sterling silver, I fuse, etch, and incorporate the processes of lost wax, repousse and chasing to translate textures from our natural environment into art.

What an amazing place. My wife loves the jewelry by Kristen "Bucko" Sinn in particular - go get yourself something special. Reasonable prices for one of a kind art jewelry and you can meet the artists!
