GK was so kind and generous with his time. He was thoughtful and showed me many stones through the loop and told me what to look for. I could feel his genuine interest for gems and jewelry. He wasn't pushy like the majority of jewelers down there. I typically hit the jewelry district once or twice a year, around my birthday. He's my jewelry guy and I won't be going anywhere else. Every so often in life, we experience a social interaction consisting of honesty, good-heartedness, and friendship. For that experience to occur in a setting that happens to be personal, important, and expensive - such as the purchase of an engagement ring - is just unbelievable. Such is the case with Parvaneh and GR, of Marquis Gold Co Jewelry. I walked in on day one and was greeted by Parvaneh who told me to put my checkbook away, and that "today is for education".

She spent 45 minutes with me, educating me on the various details and concerns that diamond purchasing requires. She also took time to get a feeling for what my inherent preferences were, by having me examine diamonds under her tutelage and observation. She had frank conversations with me about the option of purchasing a diamond online, and exactly what markups were in her store.

I finally decided that the lifelong guarantee and friendship with this place was worth far greater than commuting to LA from San Francisco (That's where we live) for the 2nd time. Just pure amazing. The owners are sweet and talented jewelers. We could not be happier with our experience. They were so warm and welcoming from the very first day when our setting design was just an idea.

It was a very unique engagement ring since we made it from scratch but rest assured Parvaneh and GR designed an extraordinary engagement ring for us. We continue to receive the most positive compliments on the engagement ring. Parvaneh and GR are all very kind and caring and customer satisfaction is a priority for them. I highly recommend them to you! Can't wait to go back for some wedding jewelry now :)

There are few business for which I would write a five star review for, but Marquis Gold has earned both my business and respect as a consumer. I shop there every year before my anniversary, and with delight, I am met with the same customer service and quality of product that I have become accustomed too. It's appears to be a family business, and in a business world filled with chains or franchises, I feel great supporting a family business.

I recently purchased a wedding band for my wife here. It's a family owned store and they were so friendly and helpful. I have to admit, I was kind of indecisive about what I should get and they were so patient with me and helped me find something that my wife absolutely loved. I had the ring appraised and it turns out I got an excellent deal! I highly recommend them and will definitely return. Thanks!

Seriously. Buyer beware. We went to order our wedding rings a little less than 2 months in advance to avoid any problems that may occur. My fiance was able to take his home on the day of purchase but mine would have to be picked up within 10 days. We paid everything up-front and trusted them since my fiance had purchased my engagement ring from them.

We went back to pick-up my ring a little over a month later. We had waited and waited for their call, letting us know that the ring is ready, but we never got one. A little worried and frustrated, my fiance just went to go pick it up and see what was going on. This is where the madness occurred. The male owner starts digging around, looking for it, saying that we must have canceled the order. Um, no, why would we cancel the order when we paid everything up-front in cash and not get our money back?

So he goes to the back where he keeps some orders and comes back with some random ring, insisting that that is the one we ordered. It was not. He then somehow remembers what the actual ring is and goes back to the back room to search for it again. He came, obviously without a ring, because he proceeds to finally let my fiance know that he never put the order for my ring in. NEVER. PUT. THE. ORDER. IN.

He goes on and on about how he thought we canceled the order because our copy of our receipt was still in his possession. Then why didn't the receipt have any mention of the order being canceled? BECAUSE WE NEVER CANCELED IT! They also never bothered to call to ask us or question us about anything during the whole past month. So he gives my fiance our receipt so that we could decide if we wanted to trust them a final time and have my ring ready to be shipped out to us 5 days before our wedding day, or come back the next day for a full refund of both rings.

We agreed that that would be too risky to trust them again and my fiance went back to get a refund for my ring and return his ring since it's pointless to keep it. When my fiance went the next day, the owner guy started giving him a really hard time with the refund for my fiance's ring. After refunding the money for my ring and taking our receipt, he refused to give a refund for my fiance's ring, when he clearly said he would the day before.

He didn't even give a reason why, he just flat out refused. This really upset my fiance and it upset him even more when he refused to give our copy of the receipt back. I guess he got scared that we'd take him to court for not keeping his agreement. Thankfully, after all the stressful debacle, we were able to purchase 14k white gold ring sets from a reputable jeweler for much less than what Marquis offered us and within 2 days.
