Mulloy's Fine Jewelry

Ok, this is the longest review I've ever written in my life, but after the amazing experience we had working with Mulloys, specifically Jeffery, it only feels right. Over a year ago, while shopping at the Forum with my (then) boyfriend, we decided to "pop in" and look at the engagement rings at Mulloys. I was immediately blown away. I knew an engagement wasn't in the NEAR future, but I had fallen in love with a ring.

Despite it being clear we were not looking to buy anytime soon, Jeffrey still patiently and kindly showed us all of the rings we wanted to see. Over the next year, I would continue to drag my boyfriend into various jewelry stores: big-name ones, small ones, online ones, etc. I had started looking at a large Engagement ring company that I had seen all over social media.

My boyfriend & I set up an appt to visit one of their brick & mortar stores in La Jolla. After seeing their rings online for so long, I was so excited to see them and try them on in real life. It was one of the more underwhelming, cold experiences I had ever had in a retail store almost from the minute we walked in. After getting through two locked doors, The retail assistant showed us a display of CZ rings, mostly all round-shaped, that looked almost like play jewelry.

As we sat down, we were given a corporate sales pitch, wherein we learned we would have to blindly purchase a diamond & setting online before we would ever see it in real life. What?! I was so disappointed and confused how this massive company with dazzling social media posts all over the place had such a bland real-life setup. I quickly jumped online to read reviews about people stuck in long holding periods to get help with their purchases while they were passed around by impersonal customer service members.

I knew that this was not how picking an engagement ring should go. A few months later, I went back into Mulloy's while shopping at the Forum and decided to try on "the ring" I had fallen in love with previously. IT WASN'T THERE! I was so crushed! One of the lovely sales associates brought Jeffery out from the back to see if they had sold it. He found the ring had moved to their other retail location. Jeffrey immediately said he would place a transfer on the ring and have it brought over to this store so I could see it again.

I didn't want him to go through the hassle, but he insisted it would be no problem. Three days later, I stopped by, and there it was! Trying it on again after having been to so many other stores completely solidified it: this was THE ring. I expressed hesitation over the price, and Jeffery assured me that if my boyfriend came back, he would do whatever he could to make him feel comfortable. Well, ladies and gentlemen, after reading this review-turned-novel-diary-entry, I am thrilled to say this past Saturday, my (now) Fiance Tyler got down on one knee and proposed with the ring of my dreams from Mulloy's.

He later told me how incredible Jeffery had been throughout the purchasing process. He was never pushy, never salesy; he was just genuinely committed to getting this ring on the hand of someone who adored it. Today I dropped it off to get it resized (sad day! lol), and I walked into what felt like a group of old friends. All of the wonderful associates who had dealt with me coming in and swooning over this ring for the past 18+ months were so excited for me.

My gratitude for their customer service, patience, and genuine happiness is hard to express. Thank you SO much, Jeffery, for literally helping my LIFE LONG engagement ring dreams come true! I will continue to recommend and send anyone I know to this company for as long as they are around.

I bought my fiance's engagement ring at Mulloys this year. The experience was very pleasant. My fiance would go into the store fairly regularly to check out the rings, including her favorite. The staff was always very kind and welcoming to her. I worked with Jeffrey to purchase and finance the ring. He did a great job to work with me throughout the whole process.

We are so glad that we went to Mulloys and appreciate the personalized approach that they employ. We had been to a few other large scale jewelers, but we really were grateful for the quick turn around times and exemplary service. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy high quality jewelry.

All staff were unmasked on 12/26/21 with omicron surging, so they lost our business.

I was searching for a nice watch for my wife's birthday. Melissa and Christy found me a beautiful Rolex at a great price. They sent it to me by secure UPS. It was perfect. I'm a long-time customer who appreciates quality at a fair price.

Thank you to the beautiful women who work there for assisting my guy in picking out the most beautiful piece of jewelry I own! It was exquisitely wrapped I didn't want to open it! Great service. Went in for a ring appraisal and re-size and had been before for a watch battery replacement. Both times had a positive experience. This is a small business I'm glad to support during these difficult times. Everyone was super nice, they followed all Covid protocols. I will come back to buy jewelry!

Working with Mulloys has been exceptional! I've been looking for a Konstatine ring that my wife loves and finally found at Mulloys. Cindee Wright was amazing. Initially I reached out and Cindee was very responsive. She responded quickly via email and also followed up via phone just to see if I need anything. The ring was special order and took 3 months.

She was constantly engaged the entire time from the time I sent an inquiry until ring was delivered. Mulloys has all my jewelry business going forward! Never seen such a personal touch from an online retailer.

I love Mulloy's Fine Jewelry. The owner Phil, and everyone in the store, are incredibly kind, courteous and knowledgeable. I purchased my engagement ring from them and with their guidance, I was able to get my fiance the ring of her dreams. She loves showing off her ring and gets compliments daily. A few months later my fiance and I ordered her wedding band, which they custom made to match the engagement ring.

We live in Los Angeles and we were able to complete this process over the phone, without making the drive. Mulloy's Fine Jewelry made a potentially stressful situation (choosing a ring for your wife) seamless and simple. The day before my wedding I called on them again because I wanted to surprise my wife with earrings to wear during the wedding. Once again, they came through with flying colors.

They helped me choose the perfect pair, which were delivered to my wife an hour before the ceremony. It helped make our day incredibly special. I bought a gold necklace here. The staff were warm and friendly, and they modified the necklace to order for me. I was impressed with their helpfulness, and the quality of the work. I would buy there again.

For my birthday my husband gave me the gift of "fixing" my jewelry. My 26 year old wedding ring needed to be resized, the prongs secured, the shape fixed and cleaned. I had a beautiful ring I bought on vacation, but I had lost weight and it needed to be resized. The most exciting project was my 30 year old promised ring - a sapphire and 4 little diamonds.

It needed to be reset as the initial setting had seen better days. Kimberly and her team were simply outstanding. Did a beautiful job repairing my jewelry and my new sapphire ring is gorgeous, simple and perfect. I'm have always gone here for jewelry repair and will continue to do so. I decided to check out Mulloys jewelry, because my girlfriend at the time, now fiancee, wanted an engagement ring from an authorized Natalie K Jeweler. I am more than happy I chose here. Because from start to finish, Cindee has been an absolute wonder to work with. Talk about some of the best customer service you can receive. A lot of past jewelry dealers I have dealt with in the past didn't care what I truly wanted and just tried to make a quick buck and get me out of the store.

I was searching for a engagement ring for my girlfriend. I was referred to mulloys by a close friend of mine who spoke very highly of them. He told me to ask for Kimberly which I did and I am very glad I did. I told her my budget and gave her a idea of what I was looking for. She led me to a variety of rings, all of which were great. I found the perfect ring and couldn't be happier. The search was over. I highly recommend mulloys to everyone and and I also recommend asking for kimberly.

This is a beautiful little jewelry store located in the heart of Carlsbad Village. They have an extensive selection of fine jewelry and my experience with Jennifer was beyond expectation!

I contacted Mulloy's Fine Jewelry approximately one year ago to place a special order for a Konstantino piece. Cindi was my Jewelry Sales person. She guided me through the special order with ease. It was a pleasant experience. I recently contacted Cindi again for another special order. Very professional and kept updated with info through email and phone conversations. My husband-to-be and I had searched the internet for ring designs we liked and settled on the Christian Bauer line. However, not many retailers carried the line. We first went to the only local retailer (chain) handling the line but weren't ready to take the plunge. A month or so later, we were visiting family in San Diego and decided to check out Mulloys on State Street in Carlsbad as they were also an authorized retailer.

We met Kimberly who was very helpful and even looked up inventory at their other location for us to look at. We were still not quite ready but that was OK, Kimberly told us to just let her know if and when we were ready. Within another couple of months, I had done research on line and had a better idea of exactly what we wanted and what we might expect to pay.

While in San Diego, we checked out the local store of the chain we had already visited and got a price: full list. Then we went on to Mulloys. Kimberly remembered us and once she knew exactly what we wanted, she gave us a great price due to a holiday promotion. She also checked size carefully as what she measured differed from the other retailer we had visited. Needless to say we went with Mulloys and the whole procedure went like clockwork and we got our rings in plenty of time for our wedding.

And the sizing was perfect! I prefer to support small bricks and mortar businesses even if it costs a bit more but in this case it cost less by hundreds of $$! If you are in the San Diego or North County area, check out Mulloys for great service at a good price.

After a not so pleasant experience at their other location, I met Cindi and her associate, Mary. They are honest and receptive to meeting your needs rather than trying to up sell you. Same merchandise without the bling and way more integrity. So happy I found the State St. location. Pat Z

This place is great. They were extremely helpful and worked with me to get the perfect ring for my fiance. I highly recommend stopping in here if you need help choosing a ring. Kim took the time to walk me through all the various designs and options and was able to steer me in the right direction.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Went in on a Saturday afternoon to look at engagement rings. At the time, there was another, older couple in the store, one associate was one the phone and the other was helping the other couple. We were completely ignored - not even a "we'll be right with you." After about 10 minutes the associate who was now off the phone asked, in a very annoyed tone, if we needed help.

We said we were looking at rings and that I didn't know my size. She did help me figure that out. I asked to try on one of the rings and when I commented that I like the smaller stone (because I have small hands) she rolled her eyes and put the ring away. Then, as I was looking around the other cases she didn't even come with us to let me try anything on and instead went to join the other associate helping the other couple.

As I was in front of one case, the other female customer came over and literally PUSHED ME OUT OF THE WAY because she thought I was interested in the ring they wanted to buy. WTF?! I was looking at some of the loose stones they had displayed and wanted to ask about customizing. When I looked up both associates were chatting and walking off into the back room.

We left. This was the first store we went to look at engagement rings and it was so disappointing. In hindsight, we should have read the other reviews here. Wearing jeans and jackets shouldn't exclude us from service. Your store is in a mall next to Talbots - get over yourself.

Years ago I went here and thought what a beautiful store and fun Street years later I went back and bought a beautiful engagement ring with two bands at a very fair price Jennifer was my sales person and what a delight it has been to work with her she helped me with everything -ring selection -sizing- appraisals- insurance I would recommend this store and Jennifer to all my friends and I will shop here again! I bought a Marco Bicego's ring on line, the biggest mistake I ever did, the picture is very deceiving and the ring is nothing like the picture, not to talk about the price that was a very expensive and it, definitely not worth it. Very very disappointed.

I came into the store just to quickly browse. While I was there a sales associate named Kim greeted me. She admired my engagement ring and was quick to take a closer look at it. She immediately noticed that a prong was extremely bent. I hadn't noticed it prior, but upon my own inspection she was absolutely right. I was in danger of loosing my stone! I am so grateful for her eye to detail and vast knowledge of jewelry. I am looking forward to now becoming a loyal customer to Mulloy's fine jewelry store!

My husband purchased my engagement ring here and had some trouble with communicating with the staff. I later had the stone come loose in my setting and had called to see if they would be able to fix it, the lady who answered was pretty rude. I wrote a review earlier on Yelp and was contacted pretty promptly by Phil Mulloy, the owner. He called me and spent some time on the phone discussing my issues and ended up refunding me for some of the charges that the miscommunication had accrued.

He also sent a nice note and a gift to me for being open to letting him resolve the situation. I give them 5 stars because the ring I got is a hard to find designer and a discontinued item -- Mulloy's had it, and at a great price. Phil was great, we talked a little about how he could improve the customer's experience and he appreciated my feedback.
