Sartor Hamann Jewelry Sartor Hamann's origins can be traced to 1905 when Frank Harris established Lincoln, Nebraska's first fine jewelry store called Perry & Harris Jewelers. In 1913, Ernest Sartor came along, partnered with Harris and the company became Harris & Sartor Jewelers. In 1933, Sartor bought out Harris and from then on, it became known as Sartor's. In 1955, William Hamann joined Ernest Sartor and created Sartor Hamann Jewelers. Lauren Hamann, Bill's nephew, joined the company and soon began doing much of Sartor Hamann's design, crafting work, stone setting, and watch repair.

Since 1905, Sartor Hamann Jewelers has been the place where Lincoln and Grand Island come for the finest jewelry. We were Lincoln's first fine jeweler, founded by Frank Harris and Ernest Sartor. William Hamann and his son Donald Hamann later partnered with Sartor and the company became Sartor Hamann Jewelers.
While Brent was attending UNL and I was going to school at UNK, we were asked by mutual friends to go to the Nebraska vs. Jacob and I have known each other since the 2nd grade, but we didn't start hanging out until high school. We began seeing each other. Elijah and I are high school sweethearts, and our story started back as little kids in elementary.

Love this place.always treats us right. Prices are great and have a staff that cares about your experience and not the price of the sale. I would pick this place over Borsheims any day. Thanks SH

Sartor Hamann (and Sydnee, specifically) in the downtown Lincoln location helped me design two different rings and a matching necklace with a somewhat hard to find set of stones. and they're amazing! My family has been a Sartor Hamann customer for decades, and now I'm passing Sartor Hamann jewelry onto my own children.

Sartor Harmon has been my "go to jeweler" for over 15 years. They have excellently repaired pieces for me through the years and have always had the work completed in a timely manner.

I want to thank Sartor Hamann Jewelers. Several weeks ago, after spending a weekend working outside, to my heartbreaking horror, I discovered the diamond in my wedding ring was gone. This was made more devasting because my husband had passed away 18 months ago. I visited the Sartor Hamann location at South Pointe and was assisted by Tamera. She was so sympathetic and caring.

She gave me my options and was very supportive of all my decisions. I immediately felt it was going to be alright. My ring is beautiful again! And while it is not the diamond my husband gave me 45 years ago, it is the same ring. Sartor Hamann did an amazing job. My ring looks as beautiful as the day my husband gave it to me and I'm incredibly grateful!

My first trip here they were having an unusual jewelry liquidation sale, which so I put off reviewing them until I had a chance to have a more typical experience. Up front they have some pearls; some colored stones (with some really rather high prices for citrine - come on, folks, it's just colored quartz!), including some unusual settings and stones you don't see everywhere (some beautiful spinels); in the back of the showroom are some watches and the discount case (worth a look).

In the center they have diamonds, etc. and a case of discreetly labeled lab-created diamonds; against a wall near the Keurig machine is the estate jewelry, which is also very much worth a look. (This is a fancy neighborhood, so you may see some stones that will take your breath away.) Next to the estate jewelry is a vitrine of Go Big Red costume jewelry.

Unlike most jewelry stores, most prices are listed - discreetly - so you don't always have to call someone over just to find what something costs. I'd thought this was due to the unusual sale, but apparently it's standard, and I love it.

My ring was damaged and needed repair. Another jeweler said couldn't be fixed but Jason fixed my ring and made it soooo gorgeous. They went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend them!

Don't trust these thieves. I purchased a beautiful diamond solitaire ring for my wife in CA from a mom and pop shop. Pop educated me on diamonds and I spent a long time picking out the right one. Shortly after, we moved to Lincoln for work. I purchased the wedding band from the downtown location and we had them fused. 2-3 years later, when having the ring cleaned in the Southpointe location, they told me a prong was loose and needed to be repaired, which they had to send it out for.

They told me it would sit differently because of the prong adjustment. When it came back, it looked fine but different because the prongs had been adjusted. 3-4 years later, I'm back in CA and bought my wife another band to add. The jeweler pulled out a work sheet before we left it to have their people fuse the second band on. He inspected the diamond and marked where there was an imperfection and handed me his magnifying glass to verify.

I looked at the diamond and realized that this was not ours. Sartor Hamann in Lincoln had stolen my diamond and swapped it out with another inferior one. I'm guessing the whole bit about the prongs was to divert my attention from the swap. They never had me inspect the ring upon drop off or pickup, nor did I think I needed to. Also, my wife hasn't even taken the ring to anyone for professional cleaning or any work except Sartor Hamann since we moved back to CA, so I it was them.

Take this as a word of warning. if you're going to do business with these people, make sure you inspect everything and don't trust them. I could see this from the sketchy stores in the mall, but I thought they were better than this.

Great quality jewelry. The Jewelers on staff can repair or create about anything you like. I love the fact that if you have a question you are able to talk to the Jewelers directly and they don't send their work else where. There's a reason they've been around for over 100 years. Keep up the great work Sartor Hamann!

I do not recomend this company! I found out that they had a watch I had been looking to purchase as a collectors piece. I emailed the owner and he verified they had it and I also talked with him on the phone. During both conversations I made it clear that all the plastics had to be on the watch. He sent me a picture which included the plastics. I was going to fly in from out of state so I felt the need to verify one more time that it in fact had the plastics so I called the store manager.

She told me that the watch did not have the plastics. I expressed to them that I had made it clear that the plastics must be on and that it changed what the watch was going to be for me if they weren't. I asked them to do the right thing and make it up to me and ship it so it would save me the flight or discount it a bit more. They were not willing to do either to make up for their mistake that almost cost me a $600 flight.

Thank goodness I checked. This could have been a very easy fix for them but instead they don't feel the need to make a bad situation right. I wasn't asking for much just a little customer service for their huge mistake. Now my job is to let everyone know about my experience one social media site at a time. Just more wasted time and effort that a little TLC could have prevented.

I bought a beautiful ring at a great price for my wife for our anniversary. The lady that helped me was incredibly nice and seemed genuinely excited to help me pick out the right one. I went to several other jewelry stores and this store was by far the most helpful. I put the ring on lay away and when I made payments, the ladies that helped me were always nice and cheerful.

My wife loved the ring but had to send it back to get resized. There was not a single problem getting that done. I would have given 5 stars but when I went to pick up the ring, I had to deal with a guy that couldn't look down his nose at me more if he tried. I know they sell jewelry way more expensive than what I bought but I got what I could afford.

I was so angry with his demeaning and snobbish attitude that I didn't even say anything when he shorted me 77 cents when giving me change. I just wanted to leave. For being such a snob, he is not good with simple math. I will purchase jewelry from here again but will be sure to deal with only the sales lady I originally dealt with. Overall a great experience until the guy rained on my parade.

I just reluctantly clicked on one star because that was my only option.would have liked to give 0! Met with Rick and he was very nice but the sales staff, one in particular, was unpleasant to say the least. This woman I worked with could have been a good car salesman but was repulsive in a jewelry environment. When buying expensive jewelry, my only desire is to deal with someone who is knowledgeable and pleasant.

This staff member touted 29 years of experience and unfortunately the only thing it seemed she learned during that time was to be rude, abrasive, brash, and arrogant. I took my business to Gunderson's Jewelry in Omaha and had a night and day experience.
