After acquiring his Graduate Gemology degree, Steve joined the family business in 1980. Prior to that, he graduated with a business degree from the University of Maryland and spent four plus years working in the jewelry industry in both retail and manufacturing. Steve is proud to carry on a family business that has been serving Easton, Talbot County, and the Eastern Shore for over three generations.
The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring. The greater the carat weight, the rarer and more valuable a diamond becomes. Five metric carats weighs exactly one gram. Some people want the largest diamond possible. If size is a priority, we can help you classify the proper cut, color and clarity to fit your budget economically, and fit your jewelry beautifully. Many of our engagement rings can fit diamonds up to 5 carats, but each ring has different size constraints based on its size and type of setting.
Always put your pearls on last when getting dressed to avoid contact with lotions, hair spray products or perfumes. Store seperately from other jewelry in a soft case and only clean them with a "Pearl Cleaner". Have your pearls inspected every six months for wearing or thinning silk. Have your jeweler clean and inspect your jewelry every six months to look for loose settings, worn prongs, faulty links etc. A prong that is loose, worn or catches on fabric may cause a stone to fall out of its setting.

My suggestion is that you get an estimate before a repair is done. I just picked up a gold bracelet bought in Greece a number of years ago. A link had broken and I requested it be fixed and all links be checked. The repair as $325, more than I'd paid for the bracelet. Now this may be a fair price as gold was apparently used in the repair, but Wow, the cost as a shock.
I paid it, as I love the bracelet, but I had no idea the repair would be so costly. My suggestion would be that they consult me prior to the repair to prepare me for its cost and get my approval.

Wonderful experience! We walked in and worked with Steve to create our dream engagement and wedding bands. We had some rings that were once worn by my mother that had various stones (diamonds, emerald, sapphire) and Steve helped us assemble a gorgeous ring! The staff and owner, Steve, are so professional and knowledgeable. Steve and Rebekah were so helpful in helping me make my decision on a new wedding set. Very beautiful upscale jewelry store. They were very helpful with a antique mulberry Wood box I ordered from England and wanted the initial plaque engraved. The engraved monogram is perfect, font suggestion and placement just what I envisioned. This is a special gift and they helped to make it happen. Parking was plentiful, the shop is clearly marked. I would highly recommend going here.
