Stopped by Silk Threads in a crunch after an event was added to my brothers' wedding weekend. The staff at Silk Threads was quick and attentive, offering a wide variety of options to choose from. I LOVED how the sales associate did a quick intake process asking what fabrics/styles I enjoy and then took my measurements before making recommendations.

I chose (2) outfits but, ended up only selecting one as the alteration process would've taken longer than I needed. I pointed out a few stains on the garment and the staff was very helpful in attempting to clean them before steaming and placing it in my car. When I arrived at the venue however I noticed that the outfit had many more stains, including the skirt -- everything from pen markings (standard alterations process) to dirt, debris, and food could be found on the outfit.

I could not return the outfit since I was in a different city so, was very disappointed given the price (450$+). The lady helping me get dressed onsite said my dress had likely already been worn either in a show and/or purchased by someone else and resold. Pretty upsetting. All in all, the selection is vast but the prices start around 350$ so I would be optimistic yet cautious in purchasing from here.

Ruby and her team was amazing! I am White and my daughter just married into an Indian family. Ruby designed, measured, and created the outfits for the 4 days of the wedding celebration for my entire family, including my son, his wife and toddler who live out of town for whom she designed matching clothing for my daughter in law and my granddaughter-- so cute!

I received many comments on our clothing and my daughter's mother in law was quite impressed. Ruby really listened to what I liked and my preferences and spent extra time to find just the right thing for me and my family members. She was so personally invested --It meant a great deal to me because of her wanting to get to know me and my family and what was important in this special moment in my family's lives.

And all of the clothes fit everyone perfectly with minimal alterations. I will only go to Ruby for any clothing for Indian weddings or occasions. She has beautiful fabrics and a wonderful sense of design-- thank you Ruby and your lovely support team-- you are now a part of my family!

We were in a bit of a rush to find my wife a lehenga before our wedding as our original dress from overseas was below our expectations. Silk threads had multiple lehengas we were impressed with and they fitted and tailored my wife's lehenga within 48 hours. It fit very well and was obviously very well made. Thank you so much Silk Threads and Rishika for making everything go smoothly during a stressful moment for us!

Ruby takes every effort to customize my outfits in my price range and they all are one of a kind! She takes personal interest in making sure the outfits are flattering on me. Had to purchase an outfit super last minute for a wedding reception and with the help of Rishika was able to quickly find one at Silk Threads. I will definitely go to Silk Threads in the future for most of my events. 10 out of 10! Side note: I had quickly met the owner Ruby (I believe) when I was picking up my outfit from alterations and even though she was super busy she stopped for a moment to say hi/welcome to the shop. Great customer service! Had the best experience there!

As soon as I walked in the staff was super rude. There items are overpriced. You can find better items elsewhere for a better price and nicer experience.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. We walked in and didn't know we needed an appt before coming due to covid procedures. They still took us in since they didn't have many customers at that time. We needed an outfit urgently for my husband as the one we got for a family wedding did not come right from india. They were able to help us and get it altered within a week! I had a moment to browse through the ladies section and found so many pieces I LOVED, such quality and selection!

Let me first start off with a big thank you to God and the owner of this place for existing lol. I had a wedding to attend in March and was stressing out about finding the perfect outfit. I went to several different places and did not find anything I liked or that fitted right on my body. I decided to take a chance and drive to Carrolton and I have to say.

I absolutely loved the staff, the owner was really sweet and just gave me the great positive vibes. I only tried on two dresses and fell in LOVE. I now have a trusted source/desi clothing store for any big events. I received SO many compliments at the wedding. Thank you Silk Threads!

So to start with the customer service was great and everyone was extremely helpful with one exception; "the owner" is rude as heck and left a really bad impression. Trust me, You're not doing us a favor by shopping at your store and would rather take my business elsewhere.

I knew as soon as I walked into Silk Threads which dress I would be wearing at my wedding. Ruby not only designed my husband's suit to match my outfit (with the pattern of my dress on the inside of his suit), but also the kurtas for all the men in my family. Everyone looked flawless! My gorgeous dupatta/veil was also one of Ruby's creations. Her staff is incredible and lovely to work with. I would highly recommend Silk Threads to anyone looking for a stylish and unique outfit for any occasion.

This is a more high quality item store and has great items for bridal wear. I really liked the sherwani and groom's stole I chose for my fiance since I felt like that was something I couldn't find anywhere else. I also really like Rishika as I have found her to be really helpful and a hard worker. The tailoring has been on point and things fit pretty well. I got some dhoti's made here that are very comfortable, pretty, and were shipped quickly from India. I trust Ruby's judgement when it comes to design and color.

First things first, I ordered the wrong dress color based on the thread color which was hard to choose based on the comparatively small surface area and the lighting in the boutique. The dress was lighter than what I had envisioned. It turned out to be a baby pink instead of a light mauve which may seem slight but it was important to me. Luckily, the baby pink shade still looked flattering against my skin tone. Secondly, I was very disappointed that I did not receive a call, email, text, or DM while the dress was being designed overseas.

No sample was sent which is really unusual for a custom dress and irritating for such a high ticket wedding expense (Over $2400). Third, I think Ruby can be a bit assertive and my husband felt like she was trying to pressure him into buying a matching sherwani that matched my gown. She did not seem to take his input into account and seemed overzealous with her vision for his outfit.

This approach may work for consumers who have no idea what they're looking for and need direction but it was not the best approach for us (and especially him). With all that being said.my husband, bridal party, and wedding guests all said the dress still turned out gorgeous. It was exactly the design, cut, and fabric I wanted. Ruby Bhandari helped me make sure the customizations I was looking for were available with the factory/warehouse she worked with in India.

This dress originally in a dusty blue color but I was able to make these changes: change color of fabric, portrait back, stitched & draped net dupatta, sweetheart neckline, fitted cap sleeve, pink embroidery, silver embellishments and sequins, gold embroidered sleeves to match border of skirt. In hindsight, I wish I had added more fullness to my bridal dress but I wanted it light enough so I could still dance and party during our wedding day. Rishika at Silk Threads was very sweet and communicative via Instagram.

I ordered my dress on January 19th and it arrived on April 3rd which was only 10 days before our wedding. So to help you with the math, I waited 2.5 months/10.5 weeks/74 days. I was able to have my fitting done one week prior to our wedding and their in-house tailor was able to have the dress within in a a few days. Their tailor worked very quickly so I was very impressed with that.

All in all, I'm happy with my dress and the quality of the dress. I feel that Ruby made a strong effort to make my wedding dress dream come true and so happy we made the memories while wearing my custom Silk Threads gown.

Ruby has beautiful designs, you walk into the store and it is filled with so many gorgeous pieces and sparkle everywhere! I recommend SilkThreads to all of my friends regardless of ethnicity to find a fushion of Bollywood and Hollywood attire for any occasion!

The designer is very talented and I love her designs! Every time I have gotten a dress there, they have had excellent customer service and I got to work on a custom design with the designer herself! Love this place and will be getting more dresses from here!
