Spencer's Jewelry was founded in 1948, by Layton and Elenor Spencer in Joliet, IL. Their combined training in watch making and business practices enabled their store to grow into one of the most respected jewelry stores in Joliet. In 1978, the store was turned over to son LaVerne and his wife Karen. Following in his parents footsteps, LaVerne continued to provide good service and quality jewelry to the area. In the mid 80's, their daughter Susan began to show an interest in the business. She began formal training to be a bench jeweler and diamond grader.

I have shopped at this store since I was a child with my mom. They always have something unique and beautiful. When they didn't have earrings to match an antique necklace that had been purchased from them 30 years prior, they were able to find matching stones and create exactly what I wanted. It really completed the vision I had for my wedding. I really feel the service they have is beyond compare.

Very friendly employees and owner! They took the time to explain the repair of a ring I've worn for over 20 years which means a lot to me and it felt like it meant something to them too. I also purchased a gift which was well priced and they beautifully gift wrapped for no charge. I truly suggest supporting this local business.
