Unbelievably rude. Without even looking at my Cartier watch, the old man told me it was a fake and wouldn't even look at my other jewelry repairs I had with me. It's mind blowing that this type of behavior still exists. This store should be closed and save everyone the pain of this terrible man.

Swiss Jewelers provides great watch service at reasonable prices. They have been in this location as long as the shopping center has been there. This family-owned business has high-quality jewelry and watches. They really know their business.

Called to ask about ring sizing. Barked at me, wouldn't give any type of price. Said drop the ring off and leave it and we'll call you with an estimate. Sounds like a Scamwich

Called to see if they would measure my ring size for an upcoming purchase. The person on the end of the phone mocked me for asking for "Free information" and then said $500 and hung up. It appears they have too much to do to make a small gesture to acquire new clientele.

This business has been around for over 40 years, so they must be doing something right. I've dealt with Shaun a number of times and I have always found him to be knowledgeable and professional. I keep going back there for my watches because I always know that Shaun will know what to do and will take care of it for a reasonable amount. I'm glad I found this store.

I've been going for years. Any time I've need quality work done on fine jewelry or simply a battery replaced on my trusty and reliable G-Shock watches. The work is excellent, the staff is courteous, and the pricing is fair. Nice to have a skilled craftsman in the neighborhood.

Have been doing business with Swiss Jewellers for many years and have always found them to be fair and very knowledgeable. Great to know that local businesses can survive in a difficult trading environment.

I stopped in and the owner cleaned a very old gold necklace of mine and wouldn't charge me, I'm so thrilled to have a bright shiny 'new' necklace I'm so grateful to him.

I had three experiences here now where I bought a piece of jewelry that shortly thereafter it broke and the jeweler Sean then charged me to fix it! I won't be going back

Rude as hell. Acted like they don't even want your business. Not much more to say. I will not return.

Swiss Jewelers is a great store. Shaun has such a pleasant disposition and is very knowledgable. He helped us with repairs for couple of items. He has a large selection of beautiful jewelry, we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend this jeweler.

Sean was very nice and helpful. I have used him a couple times and he is a trained watchmaker he was able to resize my watch in a matter of moments he didn't even have to measure it and it fit perfectly

Never trust Shaun with your jewelry. He "lost" a $10k diamond tennis bracelet gifted to me by my dying grandmother. Please save yourself the nightmare I went through and avoid this business at all costs.

First and foremost, know that I typically only write reviews when either exceptional service has been provided, or relatively abysmal service. This happens to be a case of the latter. I was gifted a watch to commemorate my 10-yr anniversary with my engineering firm. The watch was purchased on Tuesday October 22nd 2019. When I got the watch, the first thing I noticed was not the watch but rather the scratches all over the bezel and lugs. (See photos).

Any watch person would know that being sold a watch in this condition is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately I was not there at the time of purchase and I cannot blame the person who bought it for not being able to see the scratches. However, I do feel that the watch store has a duty to sell watches advertised as new in a better condition than what is shown.

After discussing with my office manager (the person who bought the watch) the condition of the watch, she was adamant that was how they sold it to her. I took the matter into my hands and visited the watch store today along with the receipt with the intention of getting my company a refund for the seemingly used or otherwise not-new watch. The owner (I forget his name) attributed the scratches to the watch being handled in and out of the display case.

To be honest I am not sure that I believe him seeing as I own several luxury stainless steel watches and have worn them for years and they do not have nearly as many blemishes on them. Moreover, I told him that might be an explanation for why the watch is so scratched but it is certainly not an excuse for selling it in that condition. He offered to polish out the scratches but I asked him if he would kindly refund my company the money so we could be on our way.

He said that he could not refund the money as that has been the company policy for 40+ years and that only an exchange was allowed. I also wanted to ask him if it was company policy to sell watches in that condition advertised as new. The other thing he stated which really left a bad taste in my mouth was - "It's not like I made her buy it." Yes, I get that, but you are a professional in this industry and she is not.

You are supposed to help her, not take advantage of her. I am done with this place before I even started. I have bought watches from AD's, Boutiques and local watch stores, and for someone to not even have the decency to offer a refund after selling a "new" watch with these types of imperfections is in my opinion, pretty damn unreasonable. (Also, it appears he attempted to delete or flag this same review I wrote on his Google page because it is no longer there) -Phil

My fiance and I had recently gotten engaged on a weekend trip to LA. The ring was a bit too big and we were looking for a ring adjuster until we could get the ring resized back home. The person who helped us at Swiss Jewelers was very helpful, knowledgeable, and able to provide a temporary solution for my problem.

Shawn is really great I had some earrings I wasn't wearing and he helped me to turn them into a beautiful starfish pendant. After it was completed I decided with to go back and add on a better loop with smaller diamonds And Shawn was really helpful with that as well. He is pricey but his work was really nicely done and I'm very happy I also purchased a beautiful ring there - that I really enjoy.

I look forward to shopping again with Shawn. He's very knowledgeable! I could have gone into LA for a lower price but he is conveniently located in Marina Del Rey and he's very nice to work with.

Just left this place and the owner was rude and dismissive. He did not even greet us as customers. The selection is mediocre at best. Not a large selection. Don't waste your time.

Treat customers like gold, get more gold. Treat customers poorly, get more bad reviews. Bad attitude towards a repeat customer. He almost charges you for walking into his shop. Now I am no longer a repeat customer, I will take my watch and jewelry business else where. I will never do business with Swiss Jewelers again.

Large parking lot, not much of a variety for me. Good location, decent pricing a bit of a wait for a question. I'll try another time.

Shawn is a fraud. He charged $450 and promised a one year warranty to fix my Cartier watch. 6 months later, it is still broken. I visited the store more times than I can remember returning my watch because it kept loosing time. Today I asked for a refund because it once again lost time and he told me "this is fishy" and "go ahead, take me to small claims court".

I was in disbelief by the unprofessional, rude and arrogant attitude. Instead of apologizing and being open to discussing some sort of refund he blamed me for my watch not working. I do not recommend this business and would be very careful having any repairs done here. He is not to be trusted and most likely will be out of business soon due to his fraudulent business practices. UPDATE!

I took my watch to Cartier after Shawn claimed he couldn't fix it. They charged me $385 to fix my watch, replace crown and clean. AMAZING. Please take your watch to Cartier in Bev Hills if you need to get it fixed, they are professional and will not steal your money like Swiss Jewelers did to me.

*UPDATED PHOTO FROM THE OWNER* Walked in to get a ring size and check out watches on a holiday. I live in the neighborhood and shop and eat at the plaza. My fiance and I buy jewelry, have things to fix, and walk by weekly. Shawn wouldn't size my finger presuming I wasn't shopping. I asked him directly if that was the case and he said yes.

Then I asked what the name of the place is, "Swiss Jewelers" he says. Then I say "what's the name of this place on Yelp?" and he yells "F$CK YOU." High five Swiss Jewelers.

I came here to replace a watch band for my boyfriend. Shawn was friendly humorous and showed me some displays similar to the original. I was concerned that the replacement band was a bit shorter but he said it wouldn't matter as long as it fit. I decided to go ahead with it anyway. Shaun replaced the band on the spot. He charged me $43 which I thought was kind of steep but I guess that's the going rate for leather bands.

On a second occasion, I came to get a bracelet sized. Shaun informed me that the technician that handles bracelet was in the Philippines for a month and wouldn't be back until February. Shaun was honest and told me it was best to get it fixed elsewhere so I wouldn't have to wait.

One of the worst customer service experiences. Charged to fix watch that never worked after he touched it. Made a bunch of excuses and then refused to refund after he previously stated that he would refund if he couldn't get the watch fixed.

Wow. I am so utterly disappointed by the way I was just treated. After being a loyal client of Shawn's for many years, bringing my cleanings, watches and custom jewelry orders to this place I was disappointed. I made an appointment to have my Ladies Rolex Masterpiece in white gold & 1.6 weight diamond bezel watch appraised with Shawn. My new financial advisor asked me to do this for insurance purposes which I thought was a good idea.

Upon arrival, Shawn asked me the value that I would like shown on the paperwork. He stated that he would list my price on the paperwork. I told him my price and he remarked that I was far out of line and the value was nowhere near what I thought. A bit humiliated, I told him I didn't recall what the price was that I paid. It was about 11 years prior.

He continued to state there was no way my price was correct. I asked him to use his expert opinion and research and that I was certain it would come in at a reasonable price. To be safe, I asked if he could give me a ball park estimate so that I didn't waste his or my time with a too low appraisal but he stated he had no idea. I asked once again if he could at least come in at $40,000 which is the lowest price online sites were listing my watch used.

He again said he had no idea but to leave my watch and check in a few hours. Then, he said - I don't want to do your appraisal please leave. I was so shocked. I could not believe that this man - who I have grown to trust and refer many friends to throughout the years was being so rude to me. I cant help but feel hurt and disappointed in this place.

I never understood the poor reviews before but unfortunately now I do. I hope this review helps Shawn improve his customer service & the way he treats his long standing and loyal customers.

I don't know if this place is under new management or what, but last time I was here, it was $10 to replace my watch battery and the guy was super nice. Today's person was arrogant, said it would be $15, and it's cash only. If you need a new battery, bring it to Marina Bay Watch Company on Lincoln just south of Washington. They're much less expensive and 1000x nicer.

Called to just get some information - such rude customer service even just trying to get some information! Reading the reviews, I see that poor customer service does come up. I don't even want to walk through the doors. Sad because this place is so close and convenient and I probably would of been a loyal customer.

I've been coming to this store for nearly 10 years now. Shawn the owner is one of the most knowledgable jeweler that I have encountered. Family ran operation in the same spot for 40 plus years. Honest, caring and very reasonable prices. The inventory is vast and comprehensive. Unusual merchandise you won't find elsewhere. A must gone to place.
