Very pushy sales staff and came across as snobby. The amount of times they said infinity brand and how she is going to love this brand and not want any other brand was so annoying. Like she won't care the brand of the diamond. Not a good fit here. On top of that they quoted me on a price then a week later said it was $300 more. As a salesmen myself I saw through their tricks and games. Not a good experience. I even tried to negotiate with an all cash payment and they still didn't budge on the original price they quoted me! Will never go here again.

So the last time I bought a car I went to a dealership that I had never visited before, and I told them when I got there that I usually go to the dealership down the road. The first thing they said to me was that I shouldn't be going to the dealership down the road because they are no good over there and that I should continue to come here as I will be treated better.

This kind of made me feel like they weren't really interested in helping me out on any personal level They were just looking at me as a possible commission. Now I told you that story so I could tell you this one. I visited Vancott Jewelers for the first time yesterday. Within the first few minutes of speaking with the lady that greeted me. I mentioned that I usually go to Van Horn Jewelers in Owego and her next response was that she had heard that they do very good work over there.

She made a couple of other comments that were positive about the competition and then asked what she could help me with. My first thought at this point was that Van Horn Jewelers must be doing a pretty good job if the competition is telling me so and it made me feel good that my previous decisions on my jewelry purchases were pretty good as well If this place is telling me that the other place does good work.

So anyway the reason I stopped in was to have a watch repaired. It's not an expensive watch in comparison to others, and in fact it's probably going to cost as much as it retailed for originally to fix it If not a few dollars more. I was already aware of this by doing some research and I am okay with this. I had originally taken it to another place to have it repaired and I was told that it wasn't worth it because it would cost too much which I didn't feel was that other guy's decision to make, so I took my watch and went home. Vancott Jewelers didn't approach it from that angle, but instead understood that I was looking to have this repaired, quoted me an estimate and a price for shipping.

The woman I was talking to at this point is named Carol and she was most helpful. She showed me what she thought the problem was, and was very polite and courteous. This all happened yesterday, I haven't received the estimate yet, and obviously haven't had the watch repaired and yet here I am already leaving five stars. The end result of what I decide to do with my watch in my opinion isn't relevant as the service I've received so far was exemplary

AMAZING! The service at Van Cott is exceptional! The Van Cott team were helpful and did not try to push us into a decision. When it came to the wedding bands for our upcoming wedding the ladies gave us several beautiful choices and my wedding band was not only the perfect design, it was a perfect fit! I had Van Cott do custom changes on an heirloom wedding/engagement ring and couldn't be happier! The rings came out better then I could have envisioned, got them completed timely, their pricing was fair, and their customer service was delightful. I would highly recommend and will be buying jewelry from them in the future.

I was in to get a battery replaced in my wife's watch. No problem there. They did a great job. The problem was paying. I used a non chip card and they can't accept a non chip card. I snapped back, you can but you chose not to.

Was looking for a place to remove links on my Omega watch (certain process that must be done) and I called Van Cott and they told me they could do so. I went in and Susan spent 30 minutes or so correctly removing my links for adjustment. Perfect job and fitment. Thank you

I worked with Ruthanne and Birdie and I must say, the most pleasant purchasing experience I have ever had. And not just in the Jewelry market. Their attention to detail, and genuine love for what they do shows in every aspect of the transaction. I have given this dismal review since they had promised to put on a "Rolex waiting list " for some popular steel sports watches, but they have failed to contact me for over 3 years. It does not matter since I have moved to another Rolex dealer who is happy to sell me the watches. So I guess you should not hold your breath regarding any promises this store makes.

AMAZING PLACE! Amazing customer service, I went in with a particular watch that needed fitting since it was too large on my wrist and they did not have the specific tool needed to make the adjustment for that particular watch. To make sure that I did not leave unsatisfied they improvised and created a make-shift tool, just to make the adjustment for my watch, they even gave me a slight discount for the wait and watch cleaner LOL 10/10!

These folks are great! Birdie is taking the time to help me purchase a hard to find Rolex watch. She is very friendly and responsive!

My fiance and I had recently gone here a few times to look at rings. They had a great variety and as soon as we walked in they were so helpful but not pushy. We learned so much about rings and quality within a couple minutes of being there. We had gone to a couple other places to look before going to Vancott and nothing compared to the service we had gotten there. Also if you ever plan on going there ask for Marilyn, she is awesome. Best place in the area.

I couldn't be more thrilled with Van Cott Jewelers. Five years ago, my (now) husband gave me an impeccable, stylish engagement ring with an extremely high quality diamond, from Van Cott. Unfortunately it was a size too small and needed to be resized, which was completed without event. Van Cott has the most friendly, professional staff who deliver the highest quality service.

I feel secure knowing that they are always willing to inspect or clean my jewelry, free of charge. Recently I felt a sharp edge under the E-ring shank. After bringing into Van Cott this evening, I'm pleased to report that they stand by their guarantee of their work. Five years after purchase, they took my ring set to repair at no charge, including a cleaning and rhodium plating for free. I highly recommend this business, they set the standard for service, especially with something so personal as a wedding set!
