David Wachler, born in 1900, apprenticed in jewelry design in Germany. He moved to Detroit, Michigan and began his business in 1922. As David joined forces with his two sons Norman and Jeff, David Wachler & Sons changed from a firm, which catered to the wholesale trade, into one which sold directly to the public.
