Spencer's Jewelry was founded in 1948, by Layton and Elenor Spencer in Joliet, IL. Their combined training in watch making and business practices enabled their store to grow into one of the most respected jewelry stores in Joliet. In 1978, the store was turned over to son LaVerne and his wife Karen.
