Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers is San Diego's largest full service jewelry store, offering the most extensive selection of vintage, new, and designer jewelry, plus new and pre-owned watches, and in-house repair. I started my company in 1980 and built it by offering great prices on fine vintage jewelry, mint-condition pre-owned watches, loose diamonds, and engagement rings, because that was what my customers wanted. As time went on, I added select NEW designer jewelry lines because my customers asked for them.

Leo's career in jewelry began as a salesperson at the jewelry counter in the Walker Scott department store. Leo was fired several times for bending the rules to give his customers a better shopping experience but was always re-hired because he was their top salesman. His boss at the time "suggested" that he start his own business.
