My fiance bought my engagement ring here. The ring itself is beautiful and I love it. Unfortunately, my fiance got the wrong size. We took it back to the shop and Ron George resized it for us. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and the resizing was very affordable.

My engagement ring experience with Mr. George was absolutely care free and easy, not to mention enjoyable. After a quick phone call with Mr. George the previous week, upon arriving, he had options already laid out for me. Picking one was easy and the ring was ready within a week. Working with Mr. George was a pleasure; he is incredibly personable, as is his staff. Also recently discovered our best friends' (who are married) parents had their rings made by Mr. George back in the day. Ron George is truly an Annapolis institution and would be my recommendation for the go-to jeweler in the area.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at Ron George. We visited when he was on vacation so one of his employees helped us. She was very sweet and tried her best to help but did not seem too knowledgeable or experienced. I definitely don't think that she was a graduate gemologist. The information she offered wasn't anything we didn't know already. We only really got to look at some settings because she couldn't close the prongs and their selection was limited.
We understand that it's a local business and customizations can be made but it wasn't a worthwhile trip for us. Price quoted was also a lot higher than other jewelers despite same clarity, color, carat, etc.

Poor customer service, I do not recommend. I waited three months for one piece of jewelry and I asked numerous times for white gold to be used. He called me three times asking if I wanted silver. When I went to pick up the item, he tried to sell me the item with silver vice white gold. I went to another jeweler who values my time, and respects me, my intelligence, and my ability to pay. For the record, I offered to pay for his time, his assistant said not to worry about it. Find someone else that will value your time.

They rejected my gemstone appraisal request, making an excuse they are busy now. They should have declined my request before they checked my gemstone. It might be not worth appraising? The most unpleasant experience at a jewelry shop!
