Gold Smith Jewelers, a family owned jewelry store, has been serving Lincoln, NE and the surrounding communities for all of their jewelry needs since 1983. In 2007 we moved to our current location in The Old Cheney Center shopping mall which is conveniently located near Nebraska Hwy 2, 56th St, and Old Cheney Road. At Gold Smith Jewelers, we offer a full range of jewelry-related services from basic repair to complicated custom designs. Our knowledge and skills, paired with years of working at the jeweler's bench, make us experts in our field.

Our story began in 1972 when Doug became the jeweler for a catalog showroom in Lincoln, NE. In the next decade, the catalog showroom started expanding into other states and he became responsible for all jewelry repairs for over 10 different locations. In 1983, we knew it was time to take the plunge and open our own store; Gold Smith Jewelers was born.

Fine Jewelry

The term "fine jewelry" has been described as jewelry made out of gold or platinum, with or without gemstones. We go a step further to include the caliber of our workmanship and quality of our gemstones in that definition. Our fine jewelry doesn't just stick to standard gemstones like ruby, sapphire, and emerald, although we do use them.

Custom Design

There are plenty of people who can draw a custom jewelry design on a piece of paper or design it using Computer-Aided Design software (CAD), but it takes a bench jeweler, one who hand fabricates and repairs jewelry, to understand the practicality and mechanics of the design. The team at Gold Smith Jewelers works together to ensure your vision will also become a functional, beautiful piece of jewelry. We use several different techniques to bring our custom designs to life, including lost wax casting with either hand carving or CAD.
