2.1: Our History

A fourth-generation family business, Elebash's can be traced back to early 20th century beginnings in Selma, Alabama, the birthplace of brothers Eugene P. and Le Grand S. Elebash. After completing apprenticeships, the brothers opened their own store, naming their new firm "Elebash Jewelry Company."

Bill Bush joined Elebash's in 1981 after serving in the United States Air Force. Bill earned his diamond-grading certificate from the Gemological Institute of America in 1982, and the title of Registered Jeweler in 1986. Bill serves as the head diamond and watch buyer at Elebash's. In his free time, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Jeanne, and working on his golf game (which needs considerable work).

Elebash helped turn a tragedy (losing the heirloom stone in my engagement ring) into the beginning of a new chapter. They also replaced the stone in my wife's engagement ring. Jenny demonstrated patience and expertise showing and explaining as many options as we asked to see and helped us discover the perfect stones for our rings at an appropriate price.

The repair was done quickly and with high quality. Material was added to the prongs to ensure that the new stone would not be lost, and the addition is seamless! Elebash will definitely be my first choice for repairs and custom pieces going forward!

My wife brought in her rings to get cleaned. When they were checked a few loose stones were noted. The jeweler tightened the stones, and cleaned and polished the rings. When we picked them up they looked brand new. Awesome job. Patrick also gave his expert advice on a new purchase.

Went to have a watch repaired; they did a great job, pleasant staff yada, yada, and gave me a chocolate chip cookie they made on premise. Great cookie and I am not a chocolate chip fan. Certainly, go for the jewelry but get a cookie. Seriously, get the cookie. Delicious!

This a beautiful gallery, they have many options but after the experience I've had here I can't advise anyone to do business with this establishment. Their sale people are clearly inexperienced and will say anything to make a sale purchase go through. Very unprofessional. Personally I had a much better experience with Jewelers Trade Shop just a few doors down.
