Jay-Mark Jewelers Over 80 years ago, Simon Karagozian dropped out of school to make charms in Manhattan's famous Diamond District. He was only 15 years old. He honed those skills; found a love and passion for fine jewelry and eventually became a wholesale jewelry manufacturer throughout the 1940s and 1950s. In the late 1960s, he decided to give retail a try and opened his storefront just north of New York City in Cold Spring, NY. Even years ago, Simon had a love for creating. In fact, his first business card for that store read "Simon Karagozian, Jeweler, Specializing in the Unusual."

Diamond Education
Report
Our Four C's of Diamonds guide can help you decide on the most important factors when shopping for a diamond. The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring. The greater the carat weight, the rarer, and more valuable the diamond becomes.
