This was our first visit to Cardins. I was having a difficult time trying to find a jeweler who did onsite repairs, local, and trustworthy. I brought my engagement ring and anniversary band in to be sized, and the jeweler found a sheared edge to my diamond. I asked if it needed to be replaced, he said "I could certainly sell you a new diamond, but you'll never see the break with the naked eye". Honesty is exactly what i was looking for. All of my business well go to them from now on.

Years ago I went into their store after window shopping and saw a sign about adding to a wish list for your husband to buy for you, clever, I thought. I picked out pale green emerald earrings. When my May birthday was getting close, I hinted for my hubby to go there. When he did, someone suggested deeper emerald green thus a tiny size to be similar in cost. I was disappointed but acted appreciative.

I wore them that day then added them to my fine wooden jewlery box untiil I would trade them for my original pick as any shade of green works for me and that was the Cardin deal. The day I visited Cardin, a middle aged thin lady w glasses, inspected my emerald green tiny, child size earrings stating one had a crack! This was not visible to the naked eye and I told her how they had been stored carefully only wearing them once.

I know the jewler who put the prongs must have been responsible, not me but she flat out refused to make the promised trade. It still bothers me to this day and never purchased from Cardin again. I recently gave them to my 10 yr old granddaughter. Bring a jewrey loop when purchasing a gem. Buyer beware.
