I could have gotten in a lot of trouble in here because there were so many gorgeous pieces. Very well-curated store with lots of eclectic, artful styles. I purchased a beautiful artistic hair pin and it was reasonably priced. I'm happy!

I am absolutely in love with this shop! Located n the heart of downtown Portsmouth it exudes what the city is all about.it has heart, charm, character and diverse choices of jewelry and accessories.each one more gorgeous than the next! Brie has curated the most beautiful shop and her window displays are second to none! The shop is cozy and welcoming and thoughtfully laid out. There is something for everybody and every budget. Prelude and it's owner are true gems! One of my all time favorite shops to frequent!

Super cute little shop with something for everyone! Lots of cool product variations that I've never seen anywhere else. Shopkeeper is extremely friendly and attentive and the storefront is both and smells nice.

Perfect source for unique gifts. Top-notch personalized service, including back story of every item. Prices range from very dear to amazingly affordable. I dare you to find a gift for someone special WITHOUT also buying a must-have for yourself. My 90-year-old uncle still treasures a hand-made comb I selected for him 2 years ago. I have shopped here several weeks in a row and always find something I overlooked before. The treasures per square feet is incalculable.

What a beautiful & unique store. Prelude is a cornerstone to the Portsmouth downown retail area for all that is charming. They carry both local and world class soaps and bath products. There is also a great variety of jewelry from all over New England, USA, and abroad. Stop by, visit a Portsmouth legendary location, and shop!
