After four years of college at the University of Maine I took a leap of faith with two other craft people and opened a small retail and studio work in the summer of 1969. I discovered a passion for creating jewelry and working with precious metals and gems. With little previous jewelry training, I began studying and experimenting with many techniques and styles always focusing on strength and flowing designs.

After 4 years at college, in the summer of 1969, we began our business known as North Country Fair Jewelers, located in the town of North Conway, New Hampshire. We were open for one week before we closed the doors and left to attend the Woodstock Festival. We came back with our goal to create and present the highest quality custom and handmade jewelry in an atmosphere of good fellowship and warm surroundings.
