Although not a large store, and not possessed of a huge inventory, I've almost always been able to find something here when shopping for gifts. As well I took a gemstone here once and had jewelry designed around it. The resulting piece was worth far more than I paid for the gemstone itself. The entire process was pleasant and the artists who work here are easy to work with and enthusiastic. It's not the kind of place where you want to go for a watch battery because you're going to pay too much. But if you're looking for Fine Jewelry in the Solomon's Island area then this is the place.

This is a great shop. The owner Heather has her own line of Chesapeake bay themed jewelry. My wife loves the designs and has quite a few pieces.

Dropped off a ring for them to size up for me. It took about a full week for them to call me when it was finished. When I came in to try it on it still didn't fit, and they're the ones who did the initial measurement. Another week went by so I called them and they told me it was ready, how would I have known this if I hadn't called them? They did apologize saying their jeweler was on vacation. Overall experience was "OK". With so many stores selling jewelry it is hard to stand out and unfortunately they didn't for me.

I have several necklaces from Maertens and recently bought a stackable ring. I get compliments on my jewelry all the time for being so unique! The customer service has always been great and I feel safe knowing they have my jewelry for repairs. My son accidently broke my gold necklace a couple months ago and not only did Maertens fix it, they cleaned my necklace and the broken link is completely undetectable. I highly recommend Maertens if you're looking for a great local jeweler. They have always treated me like family there.

I love everything about Maertens! Heather is incredibly talented and her staff is dedicated to customer service. My husband has been purchasing my Christmas and birthday presents from Maertens for years. Of course, I usually make it easy for him but letting him know which pieces I fell in love with during a recent visit to the store and one of the staff has added it to my in-store Wish List!

I especially love the unique pieces that Heather has created herself and were inspired by the beautiful things Calvert County has to offer. For my birthday, I received a beautiful bracelet with interchangable 'toppers'. The topper I chose was one that depicts the bridge in Solomons with sailboats beneath. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

We needed help getting a ring sized and although we obviously had already purchased our ring elsewhere, the staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. They also seemed to have a good selection of jewelry. Great little shop to find in Lusby/ Solomons Island - note that they have recently moved so call to check if the Yelp address has been updated by the time you read this!

I LOVE lady's night before the holidays, fill out your wish list, have a bite to eat, enjoy a limo ride to the 2nd location, glass of champagne, try on jewelry and HAVE FUN! A great little boutique jewelry store. The jewelry designers have a unique style that lean toward a lot of nautical themes. They also have plenty of non-nautical items, but they play off their seaside location. This is a great place to pick up that "one-and-only" necklace, charm, or ring.

When I went to get my wife her engagement ring, I knew immediately who to go see. On Feb 9th, we headed out to Maerten's, where we finally got BHK her engagement ring. 16 months after we got married! I'm happy that the designs worked out as well as they did. The gang there were very good about the whole development process, and are always wonderful to work with. Jamie and Heather were especially caring and diligent throughout. Kudos to them! They frequently have sales, and a broad assortment of jewelry designs. They have my highest recommendations for service, price and style.
