At Betteridge Jewelers, our legacy is defined by an enduring commitment to excellence that spans four generations. The Betteridge name has been linked to exceptional jewelry craftsmanship since the 1700s in Birmingham, England, where it became closely associated with distinguished design and silversmithing. In 1897, A. E. Betteridge established our company, positioning it among Americas historic fine jewelers and securing a respected presence in New York Citys luxury market. During the early twentieth century, we experienced significant growth, operating prestigious locations at Fifth Avenue and 45th Street as well as Wall Street and Broadway, and later opening a boutique in the Miami Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Our firm also created some of the eras most celebrated Art Deco designs, many of which remain treasured pieces in prominent collections today.

After World War II, leadership passed to A. E.s son, "Bert," who had served in the U.S. Air Force and previously worked within the family business. Recognizing opportunity beyond Manhattan, he acquired W.D. Webb Jewelers in 1952 and relocated our headquarters to Greenwich, Connecticut. In time, the next generation joined the company, with Terry in 1975 and Peter in 1978. Peter later established our presence in Scottsdale, Arizona, continuing our tradition of service, expertise, and quality. Today, we proudly create custom jewelry designed to be passed down for generations, offer an exceptional selection of bridal rings ranging from classic to bespoke styles, and present a curated assortment of new and certified pre-owned fine watches.
