In the beginning, there was the team of Michael Hamilton and Sarah Hill. Sarah brought the jewelry and gemology experience, Michael brought a lifetime of interest in design. Both brought a passion for funky, diverse Durham (before it was DURM and a mecca for "creatives"). What do HH team members bring to the table? Valuable experience with jewelry, gemstones, goldsmithing, customer service, administration, bookkeeping, art, personal style, and more, some of which even comes in useful from time to time!

HH chief goldsmith Ken Weston brings over 50 years of jewelry making and restoration to the table. He can expertly guide you through repurposing pieces or creating something original based on an idea or inspired by a special stone. Also bringing vision and skill for custom projects is Kai Hill of HH and Kai Hill Metalsmith.

If you're in the Durham, NC area, our staff will be happy to inspect, polish, and clean your jewelry any time. We strongly suggest you visit us twice a year for this free service. You will notice soap, lotion, skin-oil build-up on your stones, particularly between prongs and other settings. Removing the build-up with the soft toothbrush will work wonders.
