Kindness was her core trait and giving hugs to shower you she cared was part of her character. In her honor, we have taken the motto "Hug a Day" so that we will remember her loving spirit and gracious acceptance of all people. Both he and good friend, Paige Merical, did not survive. Ian was a graduating senior at Wake Forest High School. His greatest passion was soccer. He played on teams at WFHS and on his NCFC team, the Condors, for 16 seasons. He disregarded conventional boundaries and accepted people for who they were and treated everyone as equals.

Kohlton Band

Kohlton attended Heritage Middle School and was entering ninth grade at Wake Forest High School. Kohlton played AAU basketball for the Carolina Waves basketball team for four years. He had a great love of the sport of basketball, with teamwork being the focus of his abilities. He had a love for animals and nature and a special knack for knowing and sensing other people's needs. He was gifted with great intuition and sensitivity for all things good. Kohlton loved being social and touched many lives with his warm personality.

His is missed every day. We created this re-focus band as a reminder of all that Tanner taught us over his lifetime. He would want you to cherish your family and friends and cherish the time that you're able to spend with them. He'd want you to live life every day to the maximum with no regrets! Tanner lived a rich and full life and our hope is that you will always LIVE BIG for Tanner!
