Shauna Hunter - I am a former fourth grade teacher who has very happily and unexpectedly become a jeweler and small business owner. Seth and I moved to Chicago in 2009 so he could attend graduate school, and though I loved teaching very much, I also thought it would be fun to try something different while we were here.

So, I called up Debbie (who had posted a job opening online) and asked her if she wanted to hire a teacher who had zero jewelry experience. She responded, "Well, I'd hate to think that I'm so closed-minded that I wouldn't interview you."
