We can size almost any silver, gold, or platinum ring. If the ring is base metal (non-precious metal) and plated, or made of alternative metals like steel, titanium, or tungsten, then we cannot size them. An easy way to check if you are not sure is to look for a hallmark stamp, which indicates what metals your jewelry is made of.

One carat equals to 0.2 grams or 200 milligrams. Carat weight is the prime factor that determines the weight of a diamond. Larger diamonds are undoubtedly costlier. Carat makes expressing diamond weight easier as compared to milligrams. Instead of giving three labels to diamonds weighing 20 milligrams, 211 milligrams and 220 milligrams, carat offers a category for fitting the diamonds in a one category, placing these diamonds in one-carat range. One should not forget that high carat weight does not necessarily mean a larger looking diamond.

From Jac Painter's Love Collection: It was Labor Day 2018 and the artist had just got home from a long weekend getaway. Over the weekend someone had gone thru Krog Tunnel and stripped huge swaths off from both sides. Chips, some as big as six feet long were hanging over the railings. This was one. You can still see the fold from hanging on the railing.
